What I would love is an intellimouse with 1200 dpi, cause I cba to scale my sensitivity ingame, I just set it to 1.00
never going to happen I know

also, based on some research I did on various forums/reviews I bought SS sensei
inb4 its shit, because based on my experience with buying not-the-cheapest stuff it will most likely be terrible

I really liked the ss mouse that I had. Xai I think but not sure. The main problem was it breaking super fast. So if it doesn't break in a few months you're in luck.

the only downside of SS mice I found was that they use adego 9500 sensors which have positive acceleration issues
sensei should have new firmware for them and accel is reduced, but it is still there
but since rat5 wasn't that good either I will probably not notice it, at least it will have better switches and should not break that quick
and g400 has prediction, so w/e, there is no "perfect mouse" - DA has one of the best sensors but I just didn't like it

The g400 doesn't have acceleration anymore, all the newer ones don't. Logitech removed it at the beginning of the year.

I have the Sensei and it's a pretty awesome mouse, however I ran into some issues with the onboard memory, so I had to RMA it. Here almost 2 months after SteelSeries has finally send me a new one, I have requested the RAW instead to get rid of the onboard LCD and other superflous stuff. I have yet to pick it up from the postoffice, so I am not really sure if they have send me the RAW or just a regular Sensei. SS RMA is horribly sluggish.

Been using the G700 for close to a year, it's a nice mouse, however the battery doesn't work and the sidebuttons are a bit wobbly, the G700 is actually a bit too small for my hands as my thumb has to reach far back to reach the sidebuttons making the basicly worthless, so back with my old G9 which is still very good, but also very worn

How is the mousewheel button on the G700? For some reason I have trouble clicking it on the G9x.

Fine. There is a toggle switch that changes the mouse wheel spin behaviour too. One mode = freely spinning (scroll down through twenty pages really fast if you need), other mode = clicks in increments as you scroll (better for precision scrolling I suppose).

So you have two types of mousewheel in one essentially. I just leave it at super spin mode tbh. I hardly use any of the extra side buttons or the DPI toggling stuff.

Yeah it's the same on the g9x, really love that shit. It's just I have trouble clicking it in games in "increments" mode, without actually scrolling it by mistake.

Ok I have around four options that I need to narrow down by tonight.

    http://www.amazon.com/Grado-Prestige...keywords=sr60i

or I can go higher to the 80i's. I hear they sound really good, but because they are not the cups it looks like it will suck for extended wear.

    http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-A...audio+technica

Looks comfy and has some nice reviews.

    http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Si...rds=siberia+v2

Or the standard. The only thing bad I keep hearing about this is meh sound quality and meh part quality but comfy as fuck.
I'm sure it's frustrating to be sperging about how someone said "no, not doing that yet" - but we've had 7 years to learn to pace ourselves after killing a block. And I dare say -- we've gotten quite good at it.

Sorry if it doesn't suit the armchair generals who have never committed to anything for more than 2 months, but by now we've learned that we really don't give a shit about what you think v0v.

    ALL WRONG

It's worth the extra $50. Trust an owner.

basicly a hd380 with a mic on it except hd380 has better bass, I always advocate goose neck mic's so you can use your expensive headphones outdoors without looking like a freak

So I got the Sensei RAW, and the mouse is crooked so it wobbles like crazy. So I got a G400 instead, blast from the past with no prediction (still have my MX510), really solid mouse with nice switches all around, even in the mousewheel. I am trying to get some sort of Store credit or something else from SteelSeries but their support is incredibly unresponsive.

I also got a R.A.T.7 however the software is horrible, and the quality isn't great, also it fails on occassion so the mousepointer cannot move until the mouse is unplugged and then plugged back in. I am sending that one back.

Yeah that's the main problem with those scrollwheels, on my G9 and G700 i can't even feel if I pressed it or not.

So this isnt worth a new thread and this one seems the closest in terms of content on the first page but the problem is annoying the shit out of me.

So lady picks up an Xbox controller as asked but its wireless and without a receiver. As this is for my PC its needed, now I dont know if this is relevant but I am not sure if the XBox controller is intended for the Xbox or for PC or if that is even a thing. Either way I went to the US for a holiday and picked up a wireless receiver with another controller since she wants to play co-op games together when she visits. Cool.

But only the controller bought with the receiver works, the other turns on and the 'X' button just flashes but does not connect. FHC why? What can I do to rectify so i can game with the missus? You are my only hope. (Google hasn't turned up anything useful so far)

Get a USB charging cable, plug it into USB and see what happens (I hope you have Win7)

You'll need a separate receiver for each controller (I speak from experience). Does the first controller work when you turn the one which came with the receiver off?

I'm tired of my clumsy self having to repair loose/broken wires on headphones, so I'm considering buying the Sennheiser RS 170. Anybody have any experience with wireless headphones? The lack of a mic is less than ideal, but not a dealbreaker.

Desk mic suggestion (since there doesn't seem to be any in OP) http://tinyurl.com/c5mrd5t I've heard a lot of good things about it.

so after a month I can surely say that sensei is awesome, fits perfectly to my hand, side buttons are ok, that's exactly the mouse I wanted
of course it is :shiny: and :awesome: (c. CCP) so it is overpriced but I got it from a sale

oh and I fixed my RAT5, just had to buy some Omron microswitches and solder them in place. They cost near nothing so I bought 20 of them just to be sure, total cost inc shipping from Germany: 12$.

I've been keeping an eye out for a small keyboard that I can keep in my locker at uni since they've gone and replaced all the computers in the labs with these Dells with the most disgusting and shoddy rubber dome keyboards I've used in ages. You straight up cannot hit some keys on some of them without thinking about it or wiggling the key. I had my eye on the KBC Poker and that kind of thing but they've always been seriously unavailable.

Today (first day of trying to get shit done in the labs this semester) I noticed some of these bad boys up ebay, the KBT Pures with brown switches and I'm really tempted. Looking like $125-$150 including shipping.

    Pros:
Actually being able to type in the labs
    Not missing out
Less space taken up by your keyboard at a lan the more space you have for your mousepad.
    Cons:
Not much in the way of paid work in the forseeable future
I could be spending that money on shoes instead
Browns aren't blues but I don't really want to shit everyone else off with my clicking.
