Colonel Sanders wasn't really fat though, despite all the fried chicken and the currently being portrayed by Jason Alexander.

Is he Colonel Santa over there?

Not fat compared to the average modern american. Fat compared to not fat people though.

His body looks more or less normal for a man of that age, but he has a chubby face.

Oh yes, definitely some cosmic justice there, but at the same time let’s observe that she was healthy on the 26th, per her Twitter. A flu that can kill in 2 days is no bullshit.

I got the bacon fever when it was going around back in 2008-2009 or so. Was not pleasant. Missed almost a month of work between the illness itself and the company I was contracting at demanding I stay home even after I felt better.

Given that she went on to become a “conservative commentator” and write for sites like The Federalist... I’m guessing no.

Of course it is. But I don’t know that it’s appropriate in this case. Pretty much anyone can die of H1N1.

Again: apparently healthy to dead in two days. Most folks don’t go to the hospital for flu, and if she had no reason to suspect that what she had was something so dangerous, she could have gone from “I don’t feel so great” to having a fever-induced seizure over the course of an afternoon and evening without much chance to realize how bad it was until it was too late to call for help.

I know my reaction probably would have been to try to sleep it off, if I was unaware of an H1N1 outbreak.

Oh of course. I wouldn’t have posted the pic otherwise.
