    Did you have the spring-loaded cannons? The first year or two of Pirate sets in the US did, but they quickly switched to a one-piece casting with no spring mechanism. But I heard that they didn’t change them in the rest of the world.

    Things packed a punch.

    Bang for buck, right here.



    This is the only Pirate set I ever had. Came with the one shooty cannon. That staircase part was impossible to put to good use elsewhere.

    Can confirm both of those brought me great joy and I still have them among a ton of other LEGO sets. Only problem is that I lost all the instructions in a move years ago so don't remember which ones I had. My main sets were space and technics with a few city models.
