    Decent RPG anyone?

Hungover and it's got me really in the mood for a proper RPG session, but don't know of any decent titles beyond those I've already played. Can the lovely persons of FHC perhaps recommend some decent (pref' 'fantasy' genre) RPGs?

Have already played one of more from the following series, so anything but them:

    Might and Magic
    Baldurs Gate
    Neverwinter Nights
    The Witcher
    Dragon Age
    Diablo
    Elder Scrolls
    Fallout
    KotOR
    Mass Effect

Also MUST have a character creation element, dunno why but it just feels like part of the 'ritual', and RPG without it just feels like it's missing something. Of the above list 'Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven' is probably my favourite Just the fantasy with glimpses of sci-fi underneath the surface was really cool.

    p.s MMORPG's can fuck off.

Planescape: Torment? Likely to close to BG hm?
Have you tried Arcanum? It has character creation and is a steamfantasy game.

    LoL: Celty - EUW

Been playing Alpha Protocol and despite various niggles, it's a very good game. Obviously not set in a fantasy world, though. Will also second the recommendations of Planescape and Arcanum if you've not played them already; they're both very interesting and off-beat games with odd takes on classical fantasy settings. Arcanum is set in a classical fantasy universe that is going through the equivalent of its Industrial Revolution, while Planescape is set in and around Sigil from AD&D and messes around quite extensively with conventional fantasy tropes. However, it doesn't so much have character creation as character reconstruction. You could also look at the excessively subtitled Vampire - the Masquerade: Bloodlines - again, not a classical fantasy setting, but an excellent CRPG.
Let's start a party of our own

    Icewind Dale II

Similar to BG, but a classic IMO.

Available (If I recall) for $5.00 on GoG.

This one is uber old now, and for Console (ugh), but was the best Strategic RPG game I ever played, in the best Strategic RPG series I ever played, on a Console.

JE is actually not to bad though I have had occasional issues with bugs in it..

Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption is not too shabby quite a fun game although it is looking pretty dated now and can be buggy if you don't install one of the unnoficial patches (and even if you do)...

edit I meant to type bloodlines above >_<.

+1 on VTMB. If you like True Blood, you'll love VTMB. I know Vampire came before TB, but I'm gambling on the fact more people have heard of True Blood than World of Darkness these days.

Malk should be on second run, because they have insight that can completely fuck over your story enjoyment due to how it worked in VTMB. Nosferatu, I heard is real buggy even after the patches. IE you don't lose Masq points even though you get up and close and are ugly as sin.

This was recently remade for the PSP and is quite inexpensive at this point, probably didn't get much attention from the people who splooge over Final Fantasy Tactics despite being the game FFT was based upon. Have been meaning to get a copy myself despite not owning a PSP.
