    So I was thinking as the Deathfire Grasp remake has been a good success, maybe they'll fix the Ghostblade to be more useful for a number of champions.

    Although they seem to nerf brusier items more than buff. That said Sunfire did get restored back, prob because nobody used it.

    Huh? Only Darius looks like a ban here, maybe Janna if you want to make aoe team comp. Kass is easily countered, just annoying to play against so in solo queue it may be a ban.

    That's actually why you ban Kassadin, you can't count on your team (unless 5 man) to not be retarded and know how to deal with one. Main reason anyway, I've found.

    Draven, the Glorious Executioner

    Wicked Blades (Passive) - Draven's Critical Strikes deal bonus physical damage over time. Spinning Axe also causes this effect even if it does not Critically Strike.
    Spinning Axe - Draven's next attack will deal bonus physical damage. This axe will ricochet off the target high up into the air. If Draven catches it, he automatically readies another Spinning Axe. Draven can have two Spinning Axes at once.
    Blood Rush - Draven gains increased Movement Speed and Attack Speed. The Movement Speed bonus decreases rapidly over its duration. Catching a Spinning Axe will refresh the cooldown of Blood Rush.
    Stand Aside - Draven deals physical damage by throwing his axes, knocking aside and slowing his targets.
    Whirling Death (Ultimate) - Draven hurls two massive axes dealing physical damage to each unit struck. Whirling Death slowly reverses direction and returns to Draven after striking an enemy champion. Draven may also activate this ability while the axes are in the flight to cause it to return early. Deals less damage for each unit it hits and resets when the axes reverse direction.

    Draven patch delayed 24 hours, critical issues were identified during the initial deployments. Would've broken login queues if they released it as is.

    Yay Swain buffs that is actually pretty huge. As you probably don't know slows works pretty dumbly in LoL - the highest one is working at 100% power while every next lesser amount of slow is reduced by a lot. Making it 40% and giving it a W cast range let's you hit your root without any troubles. If only they buffed E to have that range as well ;3

    Thing about Darius is at the moment his numbers are all wrong. His numbers need to be all wrong because he doesn't actually do anything new. He has a DoT passive as do a lot of champs, an AoE attack as do a lot of champs, a potential AoE knockback as do a lot of champs, an on-hit slow as do a lot of champs, and an executioner ult as do a lot of champs. The way some of that stuff interacts is quite nice but nothing new or special. So his numbers need to be scaled way too high to make him worth playing. Give it one, two patches and his numbers will be normal, and then nobody will play him because he does nothing that a bunch of champs don't already do, added to which he has no innate tankiness, sustain or disengage unlike a lot of the more popular bruisers. He just does tons of damage but that won't last.

    This is a problem I have had with Riot and their new champs for a while - there are no interesting or fun new mechanics coming out, only broken numbers. Last proper new mechanic was Viktor and that didn't work, before that was Yorick, Orianna and Rumble all of whom had something 'new' to their kit. So Viktor was December '11 and we're now at June '12 - K so Draven has a new mechanic but apart from that what we have had are interchangeable bruiser/AD Carry/AP caster champs with interchangeable spells (one AoE, one utility, one CC, one nuke. Chop and change positions and hope nobody notices).

    Draven is 99th champ - I'd really like to see them release something special for the 100th and then not release any new ones for 6 months, instead focus on all the champs that never get played anymore, like Evelynn, Kayle, Karma etc. People who just don't work quite right in the current meta or who's mechanics have become outdated. Do some proper reworks, not stealth nerf/buff in the guise of a rework.

    And i think thats a bit black and white, looking at release history and what i consider "new" mechanics or concepts:

    Varus - channel-release longrange poke

    Fiora - HP5/hit passive (which failed horribly, but still, new or at least a bit unlike Shens since he has to expend energy and it scales) and parry reflect (which needs to be "next attack or ability cast" to be useful)

    Lulu - permanent "pet" that deals damage and buffs (in practice very little impact since no scaling + no meaningful interaction, unfortunately)

    Ziggs - knockback that can be used for mobility (small part of his kit but still useful enough)

    Pigrider was supposed to be built around permaslow i guess, but doesnt feel novel nor very effective.



    So, they are trying something new every other champ, but id consider only Ziggs Satchel Charge an unconditional success from that list.

    vlad pool style escape/engage
    goo splatter slow like nunu
    aoe damage shield goo armour like nauti
    ult is like skarners in effect but he literally eats them and blobbles off

    would be amazing
