If she rapes so hard then why is NOBODY doing it? And I do mean NOBODY. I can't think of any top streamer who recently came out and said 'hey guys btw Kayle top is OP as shit watch me play'. Last time I saw it played on a stream it lost to Rumble.
'I'm pro life. I'm a non-smoker. I'm a pro-life non-smoker. WOO, Let the party begin!'
Kayle is one of those champions that rapes top/mid if the enemy doesn't know how to play properly.
Otherwise known as low elo/normals, wait for her to blow her ultimate move away and then go back in/have a second go in a short time later. Her damage early levels is ridiculous with the right masteries/runes but play properly versus her and don't counter pick yourself and you are fine.
like Zekk says, she really isn't as good as people are making her out to be...
Last time i played ranked i got carried by 1800 kayle top. She went like 20/2/11 vs 1750+ players. Do not underestimate her pls.

Just don't be an idiot about how you play against uncommon champions. It's far too common for people to underestimate lane Jarvan, Malphite or even Blitzcrank and pay the price for it.
Kayles an oddone, I really enjoy playing here if I get a team with people who dive in and let you chill at the back as a hybrid support/carry. It means you need a support like Ali who can headbut/pulv initiate. Or a jungler like Naut.
I have experimented with Kayle as offensive support a few times again and her skillpackage is still very versatile and useful lategame. The combination of a seperate slow and accelerate saved me and my carry so many times from jungleganks... and the ult is still damn good for turning a hopeless teamfight into a hilarious baitrapefest if you keep your head level and your timings good.
Personally I find Kayle especially useful if the enemy fields a double-damage lane, because Kayle can deal a lot of harass and hurt, while still being able to protect the carry from the worst shit.
Kayle support is literally her worst role. By far.
Wait, Kayle support is bad? I typically run her as support with my friends who I know and we do really well in bot lane. The combination of defense (heal + invuln) and offense (slow and splash harass) with my friend running AD typically end up doing really well. Though when I pair her with a solo queue'd AD we don't do as well but I don't understand the hate. I think she does well enough supporting. Care to explain?
Granted, this is coming from a guy who plays support Karma and Kayle when I do support (and sometimes Alistar).
Can't comment on most of your post but there is nothing wrong with support Alistar. Only good things.
LoL(EUW) - Auhal
PS2 (Miller-EU) - SRTroN
Jax is a bad support though. *EDIT* I figured I should clarify this is an agreement
Kayle has a heal, move speed buff, move speed slow, armour/mr shred and an invulnrability she can cast at decent range. All of these skills scale well into late game with support items. She's similar to nunu, but without the attack speed buff. I don't know if it's her worst position though, she's kinda good at it.

I miss kayle's old passive.
her biggest weakness is that she's very farm dependent. her kit has support aspects but is best suited for an AD carry build (wriggles -> bt -> i-edge, lw, etc). as such you need to be the farmer in your lane or jungling (and she's not a top tier laner, since her ranged attack is only available 2/3 of the time and she's quite squishy). you cannot afford to let other people take your gold and XP as it will leave you very weak, basically just a walking ult.
if you CAN get gold and levels, she has an extremely strong midgame because of her passive, Reckoning (10% damage amp, 1.0 AD ratio), and Fury (+60 magic damage per attack). from there she scales excellently into late game - although her steroids are not quite as good as some AD carries, her massive splash lets her damage multiple people at once with autoattacks (you can be attacking the tank and killing the support next to him at the same time) and farm very quickly.
I don't think she'll be very popular in pubs and competitive play until some meta changes happen, though, as she is mediocre at best in lane, and although she jungles remarkably fast, especially once she gets wriggles, her AD carry build and role is incompatible with the more support/ganker role people expect out of a jungler.
skarner has a similar problem - I love him and think he's an excellent hero, but he's a hybrid bruiser who needs to farm the jungle AND take blue buff to reach his maximum potential, and there's very little room for that in current pubs.
The AP/AD sharing one? It was a nice steroid for sure, but only really good (or OP, according to riot) in extreme late game. I like the reworked kayle more, honestly.
I liked kayle back when she was super duper OP, buy mercs, buy nashors, buy rageblade. Press E and then rape towers in seconds, and back in the day of 5 second ultimate, buy a gunblade, get put to 100 health ulti and spell vamp/life steal your health back to full![]()
