I;m with the Russian...not at all disappointed. Looks much more "realistic" (for a giant robot), so I like it.
i like it.. i also like that i was almost spot on with estimating what the blurred bit was shaped like.
Reminds me of some of the art from the 3025 Tech Book. Although he looks to be missing his flower / sat dish tucked in behind the left ear.

TBH as much as I love the old 3025 stuff it was an odd mix of stuff they'd pinched from different animu and their own design some of which wasn't the best.
If they need to tweak stuff to have a coherent visual identity for their game or even just to make it look better, why not?
Now I want to see the Marauder and Orion.

I haven't noticed anyone mentioning Mech Commander, was it not well received? Aside from a single novel, it was my only exposure to the Mech franchise.
My Battletech/Mechwarrior experience started with Crescent Hawks Inception, Revenge and Mechwarrior 1, been in love with it ever since.
