Ah, I thought something more serious, that one is hardly more solid than vaporware. Thanks for the answer though.
better vaporware than that tf2 wannabe POS.
back on topic:
one thing I wonder about mechwarrior games, is if they will ever make piloting more of a challange. after all, driving a mech, according to the fiction, is hard, even with a brain-scanning helmet that uses your inner ear to help balance shit.
obviously we don't want QWOP level controls, but something harder than MW4 might be nice.
Well, how about zoning?
WoT-style in solaris arenas (no maintenance costs whatsoever, just winnings), intermediate in raids on npc (there ought to be some because noone wants to play for bumfuck periphery except me and they should be in a mech mmo) and Eve-style in srs bsnss.
Besides you can't actually blob shit in mechwarrior unless you got a lone dropship on the Earth and you are WoB.
NBT HC already had a system where you had to manufacture or steal mechs (i.e. you could only use what you have) that were lost on reactor splosion (every death in MW4, heh). Was cool as fuck and actually playable.
If you could get beyond the huge technical gap between clan and IS shit.Play some MWLL, dawg.
First person only with inertia and shit visibility are enough.

I would like to see Steel Battalion shit carry over to MW though in all seriousness. I liked having to remember the startup sequence for my mech. I liked having to eject or have my save deleted. MechWarrior could be awesomer with fluff padding![]()
Green button, and I think it was about £300 on eBay. Not bad since I got it for £50 as I worked at Game at the time![]()
I wound up with both some goddamned how. I got the green version for my birthday (well, delayed, birthday is on the 6th, game came out on the 21st) and then a blue when LoC came out as a gift. I still get on XBConnect from time to time (Campaign servers went down a year after game came out, would be megabut Free turned out alright and custom shit has gone up since then) for hilarity. Last year, I vividly remember forgetting to open my cockpit. This naturally makes ejecting from said cockpit much more difficult.
I think the new SB looks good though, I do like the retro D-Day scenario. And having to keep your crew from fleeing the mech is a nice touch.
Could anybody make a game about mechs (or any non-mech named 2 legged robots) that doesn't involve that damn mechwarrior IP?
Eve with mechs in a mechwarrior styled game would be so much better than perpetuum.
