i do hope they change the slot requirements so you need several hardpoints to mount the bigger guns, and increase the hardpoint count.

Is there any thread on the official forum for equipement stats ? Because i realy would love to know the real range of my missiles and shit as it is now i did some test in game with a friend but it doesn't tell me how far my LRM or Streak pack are going.
Also if you have some good link on the way the damage model of the game works it would be awesome. I must say i'm pretty confused by the way i sometime die in 3 hit ( and not gauss or LBX hit, those are just fine if they blow my arm)and the game after i will tank 2 Hun and 1 Commando for 5 min in my under armored Catapult.

Founder Atlas or Jenner? Can't decide...
Right now as it is at the moment and we have been told it IS changing because its not very well balanced... The atlas gets its ass handed to it by being too slow and too big of a target.
I would honestly go hunchback myself as its likely to be the mech they balance everything around (so it will always be OK) because its 50T and has a pretty good loadout. Having said that I don't have to chose because :legendary:.

To skirt along the NDA. If I would run a beta like this, there would be a beta forum section on the official forums. And somewhere on that forum section there would be a pinned thread with the words "MANDATORY READ" on its title.
Fun fact: In the tabletop game, regular PPCs generate ten units of heat. In order to dissipate this heat in one turn (i.e. to fire a single PPC continuously) you need ten heat sinks à 1 ton for a total of ten tons of heat sinks. (Mech Commander games did not have the heat mechanic at all. My final force was all assaults with as many ER PPCs I could fit.)Also it might be me but i realy think most Mech overheat way too fast as it is. I am not a huge fan of the mechwarrior board game but i played extensively every mech game and mech commander and i didn't feel (unless i was doing a realy bad setup) i had to stack 10 tons of heatsink per er ppc.
Well, differently, the mech commander games had a heat as a fitting mechanic.
Mech Commander 1 didn't really differentiate between heat / weight of weapon. Big things just took a lot of room.
Mech Commander 2 had Heat Sinks as equipable mods. But I never noticed any effect.
