Just confirming this is amazing![]()
I do my fair sharing of complaining on the beta forums. The only people I have ever said anything bad about are the people that start a new thread with thing like "THIS GAME IS SHIT BECAUSE IT RUNS LIKE CRAP AND ISNT BALANCED!!!11oneoneone I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING AGAIN!!oneone1121%%$"
Pointing out running issues and balance problems and giving examples is the point of the beta, complaining its not perfect is a waste of everyone's time.

Applied not too disapointed so far outside of the obvious total lack of gameplay indication on every single piece of gear but i guess it's going to get better over time.
My main issue so far is the lack of gameplay indication like : "why are my Lrm sometime running straight into a montain and other time avoiding it?" "What is the range on anything?"
Also it might be me but i realy think most Mech overheat way too fast as it is. I am not a huge fan of the mechwarrior board game but i played extensively every mech game and mech commander and i didn't feel (unless i was doing a realy bad setup) i had to stack 10 tons of heatsink per er ppc.

I actually feel that the heat generation in this game is more or less perfect. I'm one of those very few people who like caustic valley.
I love that map too, and there's no reason an assault mech should be able to spam its full rack full time but atm firing ER weapon is realy too heat demanding imho. Only played 2 day so it's also maybe me not tweaking my fits like i should.

Yeah, I haven't tried out ER weapons yet but it seems that the range isn't worth the extra heat load. Same thing happened in the TT; with just standard sinks, ER is cripplingly hot. Once double heat sinks show up, suddenly they become viable (and ballistics become generally outclassed by energy).
<3 my dragon on CV. UAC/5, 2xMLs, SRM6 runs adequately cool. When the lasers heat it up too much, just spam the UAC/5 and mix in the SRM as needed. I never thought I would say this, but I am really looking forward to the jagermech.

Good to know about engines, ty
I like heat. It makes it so you can't always 'FIRE ALL OF THE THINGS!!!1' and adds a big layer of player skill
Actually an '06.

Ho don't take me wrong i LOVE heat and think it's a great balancer too. It's just that i've tried to make a decent long range fit for my awesome and it's not worth the heat generation. Then i did a shit LRM fit for my catapult and got stuck with it for the whole sunday ( 3x lrm with barely no heatsink = bad) that didn't help.
I tried to find stickied post about chassis stats & such and didn't find them yet but i didn't spend alot of time trying either.
A question i have and taht you guys will probably know about is : Is the xp/cred per game going to be tweaked depending on your perfs ? because as it is and with (as it is) no mech repair cost (or i didn't see any of them) i fear tons of bots are going to appear just to join game and farm a decent amount of xp while not doing anything.

so saying "I bought a founders pack" equals breaking the NDA ?
LoL: Celty - EUW
Even better you don't have to say anything, as all founder's automatically have a special title and badge automatically and non-optionally applied on your forum profile showing which package they bought.
So yeah, if you bought founder's you just broke the NDA, you fucking baddie.
I don't think anyone except Jason has the balls to post non-anonymously and we've all broken the NDA ITT to lesser or greater degrees.
NDAs suck anyway, if the game's good people are going to want to talk about it, they're forbidding people from advertising for them for free. Of course if the game's shit then I understand why the NDA would be there. Luckily this one isn't shit. I suppose they don't lift the NDA so that retards who don't understand beta don't pollute the potential market which is fair enough.
gotten the "welcome to closed beta" email the second time now.
lots of lulz to be had, not keeping track of who's who are they ?
anyway, welcome aboard, try not to let the centurions step on you.![]()
