I don't sports.
I don't play, watch, care about or understand sports. At all. I do not sports.
Dispite posting over and over that it is WoT with mechs, we still have dreamers who hope for story, intense faction rivalries, and salvaging clan tech.
Sorry to crush those dreams, but it is WoT with mechs. I love WoT and would love to play WoT with mechs. That's exactly what we are getting.

Yea pretty much. I'm very excited for a non-tier based world of mechs, and it will hopefully be a great game (see thread title). You have to keep expectations reasonable though - they are obviously hard at work just making the core gameplay - the bit that everybody cares about - actually work. I'd be surprised if they can get all 13 announced mechs + variants out at founders launch, plus you've got the netcode to work on, finishing up the economy, the maps, optimization to everything, etc. I'd be surprised if factions were anything more than a slight price modifier at founders launch, if that. Stuff like full factional warfare and clan tech is stuff barely on their drawing board compared to far more pressing things to work on.
Like, you know, the actual game.
;_;
Unfortunately it was in one of the threads as a random answer by Russ, and their forums don't allow you to search for PvE.
I've gone through his last 20 posts and can't find it. No more effort going in but I read it on monday from Russ Bullock.
Alpha has a nearly 3GB update today :3
I have played the MW games from yore, but for a game on a small field like MWO, I'll need someone explain the concept behind the different classes and their uses.
I can understand using a Light mech if it has ECM or BEAGLE Probes, but why would someone use a Medium/Heavy mech when they move only slightly faster than an Assault mech with much less weapons/armor.
The mediums, heavies, and assaults all get access to the same weapons, but the maps are pretty enclosed so why even bother about speed when I can imagine brute force winning the day.
tl;dr: Why pick a large mix of mechs for your 12 mech team, when you can go with 2 ECM/Probe mechs and 10 Assault class mechs?
Assaults don't turn and aim that quick. Also, the maps feature plenty of cover to do some (out)manouvering. Maps will make or break this interaction. On flat open ground you'd be right ofcourse.

Might be more your style.
I take it none of you are in the beta then.
UI being terrible as it is, you have virtually no situational awareness about shit going on around you.
In the old MW games you had multipurpose screens.
No rear camera or a way to see status on your team mates without putting your aim on them (and then you only get a % readout).
Anyone want my beta access for ISK?
