edit: Actually the Battlemaster is technically not unseen, FASA worked out a deal or something and it's ok to use it, I'm not sure they'll take the risk though
At one point the company explicitly stated there was no legal issue with Harmony Gold, but they've remained rather notably silent on the whole issue for some time now. I wouldn't wait on it, which is disappointing as the Marauder is awesome.
It boils down to the "why risk a lawsuit against our yet-to-be-birthed game when we can choose instead to not take that gamble?" question. The entire unseen debacle is pants on head retarded, but from a business perspective its stupid to even try to touch those mechs without enthusiastic cooperation from all the involved parties (which will happen shortly after half-life 2 ep 3 is released and hell freezes over). Even if you win in court, the legal battle would be a pyrrhic victory.
Basically, this. It's just not worth fucking around with, as much as I would desperately like them in.
only really nice unseen is the warhammer though. the Marauder is just pot bellied chicken with its dick in place of the head.
its not really very good either, carrying a craptastic AC/5.
P-Hawk was a damned fine raider/scout hunter too. Admittedly it heated up like mad if not careful, but still a nice mech.

the art was hardly brilliant however, but then Battletech's art is generally rather awful with a few rare exceptions.

Locust, valkyrie, phawk, wolverine, griffin, ostsol, ostroc, thunderbolt, battlemaster, marauder II. The rest are workable or have good variants, like pretty much all marauders besides the -3R.
He means art-wise I think. nice as in "nice", not "effective".
