Dunno, looking at Crysis 2 and this I expected them ( a fair bit) lower. Probably going to have buy a new machine just to play. :/
What specs are you running? My machine isn't exactly impressive, but it ran the crysis 2 demo at 1080p w/ maxed settings. I don't have a clue why the system ram is listed that high though, most games doesn't use anywhere near 4gb of ram, let alone 8. For the record, I'm running an Athlon IIx3 (unlocked to 4 cores), 5770, and 12GB of ram (not that I use anywhere near that amount). System cost $400 two years ago, so I imagine you could get at least a lower-end I5 and much more powerful gpu for the same cost. But really, the system is still running stuff at max so I'm not in any terrible rush to upgrade. Maybe when Ivybridge comes out...?

Point is, if the game is going to run similarly to crysis 2, its not terribly difficult or expensive to build a system that can easily run it at max settings, at least in the ~1080p range.

Oh. Well that doesnt fill me with confidence that the game will fill the gap in my soul reserved for 'awesome'.
It's just hard to tell atm. It fulfills the stompy stompy crash boom fairly well, but there's A LOT of shit still missing.

I won't be paying money for a founders mech though. It would have to be amazing and mindblowing for me to shell out 60 dolla bill for a gold mech.

Edit: Also it's not really that demanding on systems.

Desktop is pretty ancient (2007 lol) but ran Crysis 2 on medium settings just fine (better then crysis 1 even). Hence didn't expect such stringent minimum specs. Also no financial room for buying even a cheap new rig in the near future. I know I really need to upgrade if I want to continue this hobby though.
    Running C2D E6300 (2x 1.8ghz) 2gb ram and ati HD radeon 4830

    Yep.
    And early access.
And a "Founders Tag", which admittedly is :whatever: but some people like to show off.

Saying "lol $60 premium mech" is pretty dumb.

It's simply not worth the money, could be, but a long way to go.

Thats fair enough, and a perfectly valid point of view, but really a different issue.
    it's still not a $60 gold mech.

If you mean to imply that for crysis 2 the cryengine 3 system demands are toned down/optimized for use on xbox 360 then yes I am aware. However that also means the engine is capable of being scaled back such an amount and that, if the developer is willing/has the funds, software running on it should be able to work on a wide range of systems. You could argue that turning off all kinds of fancy features doesn't make it a cryengine game anymore but then i'd retort with: I don't care, because it'll still run in my machine!

And you don't have to. Game will be free on release.

I've sunk about $50-60 in to tanks in the last year and a bit so sinking that amount in to mechs is not a problem for me. Its still cheaper than eve.

It is a problem if the game turns out to be crap. Then you've just encouraged yet another gaming company to make crap games, again.

Yeah, it's not crap though. it's far from perfect atm, but it's got the potential to be a real gem with a bit more work (ok, a fairly big bit, but still).
