Yeah, you're all quite right of course. I got carried away.

    That's actually good news tbh.

Is the only line I can find, otherwise I'm curious as to why you ask about July specifically, June is when people can buy the founder's package things and mid-July is when those people get guaranteed access to the closed beta not the launch date. The word on launch date is simply "summer 2012" so they have till September to make good on that promise, if you're desperate to get in the beta and that's why you're asking about July then you may be encouraged to learn that I know a man that knows a man whom owns a horse and he says after E3 thousands of beta keys are going out. Also if a beta key buddy thing were to occur I bet an esteemed gentleman of your hono(u)r would get one sir Filingo of Rapongo.
wall of text tbh, i just want the damn beta key

    Well hello there.

On the subject of that picture which is obviously the picture of the next new mech, you should be aware their "ISN news" bot posted a short blurb on the Orion battlemech earlier today, I think perhaps they posted the two out of sync and it's the counterpart to "battlemech 11 the Orion" forum/news article I suspect is inbound.

My theory anyway, someone use their mad MS paint skillz, cut that collage into pieces and reassemble it yo'

I no longer think that...dunno what it is.

I mean "Artemis" is ofc a thing in Battletech, but can't see the relation tbh.

according to Sarna the Artemis fire control system was invented in 2598, the first mech to be introduced after this date is the Champion in 2602 and does indeed have an SRM-6 launcher with Artemis. So maybe it's a Champion

Champion's kinda shit though, looks like a worse version of a Cataphract.

In theory, it should be an Assault mech....that would make 3 of each weight class to date, and they have been keeping them in order.

Doubt it's a Champion tbh, they don't seem to be doing an Star League mechs right now. Though I still personally hope for a Highlander, one of my favourite mechs.

You fire a tag/beacon on a enemy mech. And it broadcasts 'I am here, come get me' to all your/friendly missiles
If it sticks, your a walking missile-magnet.

No, you're thinking of a Narc beacon.

Artemis is enhanced targeting on a launcher by launcher basis. Basically reduces missile spread.

Yeah your right. I loved the narc beacons.

Then Artemis is the less efficient line of sight system.

If the LRM spread is as bad as it could sometimes be in Mech 4, or as bad as the books always made it sound, something that concentrates their damage more would be rather useful, so long as it doesn't come with crippling penalties.

LRM's always go all over the place, same with SRM's.

its in their nature, if you want world destroying single point damage, l2gauss/autocannon/PPC.

True, but Artemis IV SHOULD reduce the spread somewhat, that's kind of the whole point. More missiles hit the target.
Thats not to say thats how they'll do it in MWO of course...might be faster lock or whatever instead.
