    Xenonauts (X-com remake)

Apparently a team has started working on a X-com remake.

    Looking pretty good so far.

Sounds like it might be on the pricey side for a remake like this, at $35, but at the same time might be worth it.

Air combat mechanics look a fair bit more interesting than the originals too.

    EDIT: Playable Demo here

Meh...there has already been a xcom turn based remake already.

Dammit someone needs to hurry up and remake real time xcom like in apocolypse. I want my Toxi guns!

I'm still waiting for Jagged Alliance kind of turn base/realtime mix. Realtime until enemy is spotted/enemy has spotted you then go turn base for fight. You know it would make sense! (sweeping huge base for that last damn son of a bitch)

If this is anything as good as x-com it will definitely be worth the silly dollars, unless euro crashes and dollars suddenly become expensive that is...

Yeah, but for how many years now? I gave up hope. Also,I think they ditched turn based part completely.

    Will buy.
I asked for some advice in a department store about a gift for someone special.

The sales assistant said "we have a beautiful selection of gold necklaces and diamond rings just in".

I replied "no thanks, the fucking spastic will just eat those, got any Spiderman bibs?"

Im gonna have to buy this. Played the good old original x-com not even a year ago, and it really still stands strong. 5mb game gives me more hours than any new (sp) has for the last 4-5 years

Even though I know very well what Xenonauts were I still managed to spill my drink from all excitement from watching that one little video. Lets hope it gets released within a year. Really considering preordering, it should be just 20ish euro and giving them money might help the game materialize.

They aim for a release in ~6 month.
Has a good balance between 'feels like X-COM' and 'new'.

That is p.shitty they are going to have to wait 180 days to get hold of the $4000 in their pay pal account. They should have gone with some thing else like BMT which i think a few other indie games are going with atm.

    PayPal suck.

I really would love to pre-order this right now. Wish I'd known about it sooner! I love X-Com and the one thing holding me back from really playing more is playing it at like tiny resolutions.

    Exciting stuff, looks great.

Fuck paypal, seriously can't believe how they can get away with some of the shit they pull.
If you were a superhero you'd be The Incredible Fucktard with your ever-ready sidekick Douchetard Boy. Together, you fight intelligence and common sense where you go.

Especially as this has happened before with indie devs.

    Because Paypal is untrustworthy?

Why anyone still uses it for large amounts of money, I'll never know.
