I'm fucking horrrible every time i play Skeleton King, but I guess thats because in pubs you need to rely on your team following your initiation, which in my case 90% of the time they don't.

Also for some reason I've never played Shadow Demon but seen him played loads, why do you reckon a Dagon is good on him? As opposed to chars that already have a single target supernuke (Lion, Lina etc)

Demonic Purge is a single target nuke with pretty high damage output. In addition, Soul Catcher boosts all your damage, including Dagon, by 50%. Finally, he can solo very well and farm quickly with Shadow Poison, allowing you to kick ass in your lane, gank, and get that Dagon fast (which is always important if you're building one)

I'm TERRIBLE at this game. Completely and utterly awful. Tried to do the solo game with lich to practise last hitting. You can theoretically have 71(?) last hits at 10 minutes. I thought "I'm bad but I think I can get 30 without trying to hard". Nope. I got 12 last hits at 8:30 and ragequit. There wasnt even anyone there!

Lich is not a good hero to practice last hitting with. His animation has quite a long frontswing and it's unlikely you will ever be hard farming with him in any serious game.

Sniper is a nice starting point since he has basically no animation, Faceless Void is a challenge since again his animation has frontswing. But generally look at hard carries, learn to farm with them in bot game - once you can get uncontested waves, you are probably ready to try them in a proper game. I heard somewhere 100cs at 20mins is a decent baseline, might be wrong. Just bare in mind cs'ing in a bot game is VERY different from doing it under harrass, especially when playing a hard carry as literally everyone can outfight you until you get the shit you need.

For a real challenge try farming with either Tinker or Spectre, both of them have long frontswing animations with really low base damage. Both are also very farm dependent.

a benchmark for standard carry static farm is 5 cs/min, but on pub game its not always likely because 1. lane phase on pub game is a lot longer and u will have enemies sitting at ur lane always, and its more likely to be even lane 2. u cant always have a dedicated safe lane with good support 3. fuck csing hard in pubs i mean rly

also pubs usually cant farm for shit anyway, and don't put early pressure on while also not achieving anything of any worth so you can easily catch up in mid game with heroes that have good creep clearing ability (part of what makes QoP/storm/standard int semi carry ganker hero so good)

Learnt something new today, if you delete a common item you have a chance of finding an uncommon item - I turned a common Sven pauldrons and a common Witch Doctor staff into an uncommon Omniknight winged hat thing.
