but for those looking to play the new heroes:

keeper: 100% standard support. your nuke hurts a lot but pushes the lane like murder, so makes it hard for your carry to farm if you spam it. Can actually mid, but doesn't make the best use of farm. Not a bad hero at all though.

Nyx: Go solo mid. Max Q, but get early points in W and E. Gank with R a LOT. Rush a Dagon (level 1 only). BKB probably good as followup. You don't really transition into mid or lategame well at all, so gank a lot and end the game early. If you do go into lategame, remember that you're a ganker, and make a shitty carry - so go for teamfight/support/disable items, like sheepstick, shivas, etc. Your only decent scaling comes from spamming W, so the int and mana regen helps a lot.

Visage: Don't play him if you don't know what you're doing. If you do have to play him, KEEP YOUR FAMILIARS ALIVE AND USE THEIR ABILITY TO STUN PEOPLE. The rest of his stuff is pretty self-explanatory. Build INT - sheepstick, etc. Aghs is good.

You two aren't that bad. Honestly I'd say the only thing that you're below par on is map awareness (i.e being in the right place when we're pushing, etc) and farming (both knowning where to farm, and last hit timing).

Both of those mostly come with practice. :P The one thing I would specifically say is that as a support late game, if your team is grouped up to push or defend, you should be with them, or have a TP of some kind so that you can be with them within seconds..

Also TP scrolls are one of the most underrated things to ever have, ESPECIALLY in low/mid level pubs. People don't carry them and don't seem to expect to see them being used, so you can quite easily punish an over agressive lane with a quick hot drop. You should basically always carry them unless you're Furion or have Boots of Travel and then you should probably still carry them.

EDIT: On the subject of pubs. Edna ditches me to go play soloq and what do I get in mine? Mask of Madness 50 min farming Dragon Knight.

Of course players who are good at the game and/or have been playing for a long time know that TP scrolls are good items. But they get ignored/forgotten about/not carried by newer players. And then once they learn to carry them early game, midgame they will sell them so they can carry their Mithril Hammer or whatever. This basically creates an environment in which TP scrolls are disproportionately powerful, since most of the pubs you are playing with don't really know about them and never use them.

I'm bad at last hitting and should feel bad. You're probably right in that when I played lich and you were all pushing bot I should have gone there to help. I was going back to the fountain to finish assaultc cuirass I think and when I did you were already by their T2 tower I believe. So i figured "fuck it, I'm not getting there in time to help anyway might as well try and push top". It was not that I wasn't aware of what you were doing, I just thought that I could really do nothing to be of use, it would have taken me so long to get down there that by that time you should have already left.

Oh we actually won that game because we had a PA who could actually farm reasonably well AND built the right items. Also I am #1 Lanaya EU, obviously.

So then Dota2 ups the ante on me.

Yes, that is duolane Viper/Ursa. Tried to gank them something like 7 times, got one kill. Ursa got that Vlads at 22minutes.

ok lone druid with 2x midas, i actually think it may not be shit after all.

i saw na'vi do it in a game from the defense a few days ago and thought id try it in a pub.

yes intigo i am aware that their team was shit and this was a total stomp, but thats not relevant here.

the relevant bit is getting almost 700 gpm without even getting any kills. i was jangling and got left alone (which happens in about 75% of games as lone druid). i farmed the 2x midas, radiance and two pairs of basic boots in about 23/24 minutes, without getting any kills. so only about 4/5 minutes slower than a regular 1 midas jungle sylla, possibly even less. but after that the gold gain just goes crazy and a super farmed sylla just rapes the shit out of games.

basically i reckon that if you are jangling sylla, by the time you have farmed you first midas and got the next 1900 gold you should know if youre going to be left alone and have the time to make a second midas worthwhile, and if you are i think its a good idea.

not sure even if anyone else on fhc plays lone druid tho, so maybe this was all for nothing.

for some context i am 39-24 with lone druid, so i ought to have some idea what im on about.
