yeah, definitely a must watch. it takes a while to really get going, but goddamn does it get going.

Most of our LoL -> Dota players have the basics down already, but if you don't, this guy's videos are quite a nice resource.

I like how Valve are trying to make in-game spectating similar to going to a stadium to watch a game, letting you look around the field yourself as well as following the caster's views. But 50 bucks for 3 days of games seems pretty steep.
Would not be surprised if all the tickets sell out though. Valve are clearly the masters of the F2P model.
Ahh ok, that's fair enough then hah.
Yeah, well theyre making a killing all round really.
Lets hope all the money they're raking in helps improve viewing live games from the client. Every wildcard game I watched had effects lagging several seconds behind and audio channels going dead every teamfight.
it's a work in progress for sure - this shit got implemented this week.
i expect next patch to include updates to spectator mode, but who knows when it'll actually be working

Yeah, I doubt the tournament filters have anything to do with spectator lag. It just can handle multiple thousand spectators just yet because of either hardware limitations or they need to fiddle with the code. Hopefully it will be smoother once the international 2 starts.
furion guide
start with teleport, dont buy any items, tp to the clifftop, die 3 times to creeps, always sprout foob so he dies, never die to enemys, win game
Since I know people will ask:
Phantom Assassin - Treads, Battlefury, BKB, MKB, Satanic
Chaos Knight - Urn, Treads, Armlet, BKB, Heart, Manta
Gyro (this is what I'm least sure of) - Bottle, Phase, optional Aghanims, Manta/BKB/Butterfly/ETC
once i've played them all (or at least seen them played well) i'll look into doing actual guides. at the moment take anything I say with a grain of salt as i haven't actually played any of them yet and have just been reading the r/dota2 threads about them for build advice
new patch summary;-
no luna
no techies
no bristleback
no hats
no fucks.
why gyro? seems a bit out of place since he was relatively terrible. i'd have rather had troll or phoenix personally.
Randomed pudge yesterday, was mid against gyro. FB him and kept wrecking him and the sidelanes... basically went on one of those "oh god, where is pudge" rampages. Which was needed as everyone else was getting rocked. Our CM was 0-6, our PA (only carry) was 0-5, and we were losing towers left and right.
BUT
We had the super combo.... the combo of PA and ogre magi. 400% crit + frenzy = wtf damage. We held on barely, using buybacks to save the rax and losing two base towers. Finally by 40 minutes we won some fights. By 50 minutes we crushed them and won
Also a couple tips for PA, she can blink strike 1000 distance, so its like a super version of riki's. Remember to blink to allied units or w/e to escape. If you are in a really tough lane, you can last hit with the dagger ability. It does pure damage (double against creeps) and its cheap on mana, with low cd. (like dark lady in hon)

yeah, kept getting surprised by just how far PA could blink. depending on the time of day she can even blink on you from out of sight range.
fortunately I was playing AM and had 700gpm, so it did not matter
why the fuck do the gigabyte dota masters casters have to be so fucking bad
its by far the best tournament running at the moment with a huge lineup of really good teams, but these faggot australians make this shit unwatchable
DEADICATION TO A BITTER SIGHT
spent £18 on the dota store. Used the give a random player an item box, player then disconnects and never reconnects :-(
D&D is where I learned that a longsword is a one handed slashing weapon.
