I encourage new players to play as many different heroes as possible, so they get experience playing different roles and a feel for the capabilities of each hero.

However if they are playing with players better/more experienced than themselves, often they will have the most fun by supporting. Supporting and winning is often more fun than carrying, getting no farm, feeding, losing, and being blamed for the loss.

If I'm not playing with friends I'll sit in the TS channel, but theres rarely anyone on NA timezone.

Man are people dumb. Had a game where our treant protector died and ragequit at around 3 minutes. Already preparing myself on leaving after his 5 minutes are up I was beaten by the entire opposing team leaving before me. Unless they were all paragons of good sportsmanship, they probably didn't read that stats will still be recorded, you just don't get an abandon if you decide to leave as well(I know stats don't get recorded if the dude leaves before the battle starts and it clearly says so).

Had a game earlier where my entire team left. The score was 1-16 (enemy team had 16 obviously). We had a level 6 sniper and AA however, I was BM, so I defended until the end. By abusing the BM ult -> sniper ult -> wild axes -> AA ult combo I ended the game 8-18 or something. Got some flak but who cares. I had fun.
