For when we start again:
How do you usually get such high DPS? Is it just AoF abuse?

As in what are your general strategies? I tried getting every +physical damage node for bows and ended up with 800 dps at lvl 48
I get iron grip, so I can stack str early on for extra damage (str belt, str necklace, etc). Remember this build was to power through the 3 hour leveling challenge, I never did much above level 30.
With that said, I'd probably go AoF this time just to abuse it for now - using the weapon elemental damage support and the cataclysm nodes (that alone is what, 180%?). Makes it so you have to avoid the element reflect mobs but that's not that hard. This also feeds doing Iron Grip since str nodes all over there.
I also like going to the middle, want those quantity nodes!

This is pretty good. I've got a dual wield ranger, though I'm suspecting I've gimped it already and I'm going to screw up the defence / offence balance in the passives.
As it's my first time I'm on normal so I guess it doesn't matter really.
Any good dual wield builds for me to compare against?
Oh man.
I signed up with a second account to path of exile a long time ago to double my chances of the lottery. Now, the second account also has beta now.
You are making me incredibly jealous Grarr. I played at the free weekend, got hooked, game is very very solid. Good thing they are making the beta keys purchasable this week, can't wait.
This account should get a friend key soon, maybe you won't even have to.
Fingers crossed![]()
If anyone happens to get a spare friend key prior to it becoming purchasable, I would be willing to trade sexual favors for it.
I tried this game over the weekend, was fun. Got a deeps (mostly shard/spear mult projectiles) witch up to merciless despite losing my hd. I tried to just get + dmg stuff, but that did mean I ended up wasting a lot of points on int. It was my first time so I started north from witch and got + ice, and then travelled all the way over to templar(?) to get the elemental damage stuff there. After that I went for breath of rime. Right now I would like to go over to the int-dex side and get the spell damage there.
I have around 400/400 life/shield at lvl 45, but it's fun. Mana was also an issue (I just wanted dmg). Flasks started to go dry. In retrospect it was probably mostly because I was at a flask breaking point, but I got new flasks and the 10% reduced mana cost passive for templar. I could just abuse the portal gem but I guess some points for convenience is ok.
Initially I wanted to go to elemental equilibrium, but gave up that after a while. How long is the buffs on the mobs? Is fireball/ice spear viable for example?
I will probably buy something if it's cheap and useful enough.
Also went witch on HC with this build: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-s...6EmCbz1Hwxiw==
Once you get the gems for fire/ice dmg aura it becomes a minion rape train. Spam 8 skellies around boss, get close enough for the auras to kick in, drop a fire storm and instapop. Static blows and immolate chance support gem for firestorm. <3
Shouldn't have gone the wand route, but at the time it seemed like the shortest way to mininion instability. Was aiming for hex master next.
Died shortly before act2 on merciless to a blue mage mob when his fireshield discharged with me standing close by. ><
So gonna throw some money at them this week.
Yeah Molten Shell Shamans are ridiculous to low defense characters. There's no point to playing a high damage high leech character since you'll just get instablapped by those 'bombs'.
I'd be willing to trade a DOTA 2 invite for a key~
Edit: Oh, nevermind, they are going to start giving away beta keys if you pre-purchase micro transactions this week. So everyone can get in for a few $'s.
