I’m not sure why someone thought it would be a good idea to bring back a gun design that has been obsolete for the past 200 years.

This type of firearm is what I suspect will make the most sense for arming quadcopters and the like. A complicated magazine;feed/ejector system is heavy and results in weird dynamics as the bolt travels rearward.

An airframe built around a multi-barrel weapon with almost no moving parts is probably the best way to go.

Feed systems are quite a bit lighter than additional barrels and chambers. Remember, the feed system only has to deal with relatively mild forces involved in feed and extraction. The barrel has to deal with the full pressure of the shot. That gets heavy damned fast. As an example, the empty weight of a Mossberg 930 semi-auto shotgun in 12ga. is 7.5lbs, no different than the Mossberg International O/U shotgun in 12ga., despite one being a semi-automatic, tube-fed and the other being a break-action double-barrel.

No, it's a softair gun. Size and handling (and weight) are however very real which leads to them being mistaken for real. There have been instances were the police mistook them for real and reacted accordingly, even here.

No worries, I won't. I actually learned that Schmeisser worked there in one of his vids. My favourite gun channel. I can (and did) watch him take weapons apart and explain how they work for hours.
