The Maxim gun, and they have not.
Interesting thing:
The bank notes are from the time of the German hyper inflation of 1923. The first note was worth one million marks, the second was worth fifty million marks. As you can see, the quality of the art and printing got worse as they printed more and more money. The highest note was a one hundred trillion marks note. Eventually they issued a new currency called Rentenmark (pension mark). The Rentenmark was backed by 6% of all of Germany's real estate property.![]()
