and go ahead, click on that Izmash link. To be honest Zaitsev deserves lot of credit too.
Most effect Schmeisser had in russia was on steel stamping (which wouldn't apply to AK before 59), literally nothing on AK compares to StG 44.

    From Shorpy's comments:

    1)Browning Auto 5 (probably 20 ga)
2)Arisaka 44 carbine (Dad bring it back from the war?)
3)Civil War souvenir (likely 58 caliber) Muzzle loader--trap door mechanism is not visible and the ramrod is still present. Maybe a musketoon or a cut down musket--either way, I wouldn't shoot it.
4)JC Higgins Sears Roebuck and Co Model 30 .22 LR
5)Pump action air rifle (.22 or .177 caliber pellets) probably a Crossssman or Benjamin.
6)On floor, Possibly a Winchester Mod 67 or 68 .22 caliber single shot rifle.
    7)In his hand--looks like a cap gun.

I’m not sure why someone thought it would be a good idea to bring back a gun design that has been obsolete for the past 200 years.
This type of firearm is what I suspect will make the most sense for arming quadcopters and the like. A complicated magazine;feed/ejector system is heavy and results in weird dynamics as the bolt travels rearward.

An airframe built around a multi-barrel weapon with almost no moving parts is probably the best way to go.

Yes I've thought about this way too much.
Feed systems are quite a bit lighter than additional barrels and chambers. Remember, the feed system only has to deal with relatively mild forces involved in feed and extraction. The barrel has to deal with the full pressure of the shot. That gets heavy damned fast. As an example, the empty weight of a Mossberg 930 semi-auto shotgun in 12ga. is 7.5lbs, no different than the Mossberg International O/U shotgun in 12ga., despite one being a semi-automatic, tube-fed and the other being a break-action double-barrel.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those Thukkers, that way I wouldn't have to have any goddamn stupid useless conversations with anybody.

That's how our replicas look in the UK, we don't have to paint them an obnoxious colour if we have a legally defined good reason to have one not painted bright two tone.

Legally acceptable reasons basically include theatre/movies etc, airsofters and re-enactors. People don't often get shot because they have a replica here in the UK, then again our police officers have a pretty good record of not shooting people that have real guns either, if they can avoid it.

Huh? I thought Candy was German judging by his posts on the AfD and voting for them.

And russia. Basically everywhere but murica i bet since people outside of it are about 10 times more expected to have a toy instead of an actual gun.

Also glox are ugly, can't prove me wrong.

No, it's a softair gun. Size and handling (and weight) are however very real which leads to them being mistaken for real. There have been instances were the police mistook them for real and reacted accordingly, even here.

It's Umarex first Glock, which is interesting because they own Walther, Glocks largest competitor in the German language markets.

Ehh, it's less Umarex owning Walther than it is those two belonging to the same holding company.

They restructured, Umarex is now the parent company.
