Why is it called earth, when it is mostly water???

This channel really shows off organization gameplay, despite the bugs and early access-ness of the game so far. The other SC channels I watch semi regularly are starting to show some mild hype about 2-3 more gameplay loops coming online in 2022 plus the next star system. I'm just wondering what will actually get accomplished by the end of it.

Sadly the very first iteration of Server Meshing is scheduled for Q3-4 this year.
Don't know if that will be enough for them to allow wormhole travels to the other systems.
Pyro is almost done, and Nyx should also be ready so we get 3 solar systems to play in.
I think the plans for 2022 is to build on current gameplay loops + adding salvage and refining.

only 800 million to go before they can make a 2050 deadline, keep flushing!

Lol, great response.
Meanwhile, I'm getting a little bored of all items of a type having the exact same stats. I kinda want variety so I have things to spend my UEC on that's not another ship.
Also also, toxic levels are going up in global chat, I hate it. The community is one of the strongest parts of SC for me so far, I'm hoping it's just the inevitable morons and we largely keep it positive until there's enough content for me to ignore all other users forever.

Global chat seems to be really hit or miss. Some days it's full of people answering questions for newbies. Other days it's some PVPer going full rage mode because someone got annoyed with his antics and blapped him.
I've had decent results just playing in a semi-casual, semi-serious org, but any org is going to have people in it who annoy you, so even there I have to make decisions about when I want to actually be on comms. Some people just aren't worth the aggravation.
Quarantined and loving life.
Some updates from Jared on the vulture, Hull A, Corsair, BMM and locations and mining gadget. Also Xeno threat event launching this week and 3.16.1 patch and jump town event comes back in february.

Is the Xeno thing the exact same as last time?
Largely, yes.
They've tuned some shit to make the loading stages less long and also a bunch of bug stuff to make it crap out less often, but it's the same event effectively.

Is it really 10 years already?
I was at the first official event in germany, queuing with my Golden Ticket (which didn't matter in the end).
Left with a poster and had my Wing Commander 1 Box signed by the the man himself.
Was a nice event, if a bit underwhelming and unorganized.
But all of that should prove to be a perfect forshadowing of events to come.
