I think the worst has passed but I'm going to give SC a little break for another 2 weeks. I still experience inventory issues sometimes, and for all that I like bunkers, bunkers without looting is frustrating.

Anyways, for anyone who actually wants to play a game here, https://store.steampowered.com/app/1...SpaceBourne_2/ This is surprisingly fun and for all it's jank, it's way more deep than I expected. Honestly, if I sink into Spacebourne I might not return to SC for a few months.

Usual caveat of ISC and ' work in progress ' , but.... this feature team mange to deliver and this has got me quite excited for piracy. Literally able to live on proceeds of striping ships and using / selling modules !

Some of it looks a little silly, like the throwing a ship around bit, but that's to be expected. Video games don't have to make sense and obviously early days are going to have some jank.

The devs have said pulling stuff off ships is going to have some changes, specifically they want to lock items until the captain gives permission to unlock items or the soft death of the ship. In soft death, everything has a chance to be destroyed, and what remains can be looted.

Meanwhile, server stability is actually improving somewhat, item management is a bit of a shitshow but flying around is once again more fun than frustrating. I can't bunker because opening a container is a 20 minute affair, but shooting guys is fun.

Finally upgraded far enough that SC is playable. What basic gameloops (emphasis on basic) should I establish to prove I can earn money for fuel/ammo/ship replacements?

I want to know I can grind out credits if I need to before I jump into any combat. I have 50k, an LTI avenger stalker, and an LTI retaliator.

I am interested in combat but not until I have a basic grasp of flying around and doing stuff. Currently on Microtech so I want to earn some extra money for the snow suit.

Should I try getting a multitool and some cave mining on foot? SHould I do basic cargo box delivery? What gameloop gives me a basic income for no risk and a minimal investment?

Those two ships you have are a very good pair for doing NPC Bounty missions.
You might need a stop gap ship between them to go at it smoother.

Very Low-Risk Target (VLRT) - Avenger
    Low-Risk Target (LRT) - Avenger
    Medium-Risk Target (MRT) - Avenger
    High-Risk Target (HRT) - ??
    Very High-Risk Target (VHRT) - ??
    Extreme-Risk Target (ERT) - Tali

I prefer to be based out of A18, and immediately move all assets up to the space station above and set respawn point there.
In your mobi glass you will find a mission you have to pay 200 or 500 creds for. Tracker Training Permit
This will unlock bounty missions, once you have completed it you unlock VLRT missions.
They are simply, fly here kill this NPC in a ship (with escorts) and get paid + standings.
Once you have enough standings, you can unlock next certificate for higher difficulty.
Best to work out of one area, since each planet got their own standings counter and it boosts cash payouts.
(If you have HRT with Arc corp, you can go to Hurston do their evaluation mission and carry on with HRT's there since that part of standings is with the Bounty Hunter Guild).

Alternative way to get the ball rolling.
You will need time for a bigger play session.
Rent a Cutlass Black & ROC Mining vehicle.
Goto town and mine the shit of hand mineables with it. (1,6m to buy both ingame)

If you enjoy the mining system (it is REALLY good) you could go MISC Prospector, costs about 2,1m to buy ingame and 300k more to kit out for the good stuffs.

I don't have experience with Bunker missions. But also good income.

Some basic box delivery missions will get you some starter cash, then relying on bad npc ai and doing bunker missions would be my next stop. Once you get a good set of weapons (I literally begin with just a pistol and then any rifle I pick up in the early bunkers) and work your way up the rep ladder so you get more profitable missions.

Don't do any long term hold missions or destroy the drug missions as those come with the highest chance of bugging out, clear the enemy out or recover the base missions are the best for stability.

Also, if you have weapon racks on your ship, you can put your weapons in there and then store the ship, the next time you summon your ship, it'll have those weapons saved. Just go to any space port and perform a repair before you store your ship in the future and it'll refill the rack with any weapons you put in there for you. A solid way to keep any gun you like available.

Space ship bounty missions start out quite easy and educational too, I would say with an Avenger you should be able to do up to medium risk missions without struggle and you'll learn the tricks you need to learn just by earning the rep needed to get access to medium risk missions in the first place.

Hand mining is okay but extremely variable, sometimes I make an okay haul, sometimes I spend 2 hours looking for nodes and finding crap that's barely worth the time. I may be shit at mining though.

Lastly, we just went through a wipe, traditionally it takes around 2 weeks for people who aren't going to stick around to stop playing the patch hype and the servers become really stable again. Just be prepared for a little extra jittery play for a bit. I am doing Microtech bunkers in non extreme cold armour because the bunkers themselves are temp controlled and I use an Ursa rover to get there.

I think I understand why CIG didn't jump on the whole crypto/nft bandwagon.
Simple: they don't need to. They are already selling actual NFTs which really work as advertised, in the form of the ships they sell.
And they even have their own currency which people can user to buy and sell (for store credid of course, can't let actual money get out) ships.

They are doing crypto, doing it right, and doing it without any crypto-blockchain-anvil on their ankle.

They're doing crypto right by not doing any of the things crypto is about?

Well, I suppose they're both good at fleecing rubes, so they've got one thing in common.

Citizen Con is over, and it delivered.
Server Meshing was demonstrated, and it scales up.
Demo showed Dynamic meshing, but we will first get static.

Not much publish on YT yet.

They promised everything shown at Cit Con to be delivered within 12 months (except SQ42).
Loads of these things depends on Server Meshing, so we should get it sooner.

A special PTU for Pyro will open up on Oct. 31st.

But it is by special and random invitation, to begin with.

Here is the Server Meshing presentation, it is quite impressive technology.

I mean, we gotta keep the rules intact.

Nothing is real until it's playble by anyone who logs in on their own system.

I saw some stuff I liked but citcon is and continues to be more con than citizen focused. They showed animals in their engine hype thing and that's total bullshit.

I am interested and even excited about the direction of missions and professions. The tech stuff is always interesting, but non real until we get it in our hands.

Side note, that Zeus MKII feels insane if they keep the 4 shield generators and stuff, maybe there's a general rebalance internally?

And then we also have the coming RSI Zeus MK2 ST.

I also believe the Zeus MK2 is more meant for Pyro then the Spirit lineup, that seems to be more "High sec" ship with everything bellow the Zeus MK2...except size...
