Baking a pumpkin cheesecake right now. Second time with this recipe, worked pretty well last time.

Ingredients: Pie crust, cream cheese, eggs, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin, Nutella.

Got many compliments on the pumpkin cheesecake from coworkers.

Tonight's dish was a big slab of sockeye salmon drizzled with lemon juice and covered in dill. Was pretty good, despite the freezer burn.

Tonight's dish was a fajitas recipe from a Williams-Sonoma book, but made in a way I've never done them before. No skirt steak available at the store, so had to make do with stir-fry beef. Meh.

    Marinade recipe called for:
    juice from 3 limes
    juice from 2 oranges
1 jalapeno chile, seeds removed and coarsely chopped
    1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
    3 tablespoons tequila
    1 bottle of mexican beer

    I ended up doing:
    about 1 cup orange juice
    about 3/4 cup lime juice
1 jalapeno chile, seeds removed and coarsely chopped
    1.5 tablespoons chopped cilantro
4 tablespoons Jose Cuervo Especial tequila (used all of the tiny bottle I got at the liquor store)
no beer (didn't have any in the house, forgot to get it at the liquor store, derp)

Never had tequila before, so this proved to be interesting. Served the meat with some jalapeno still on it (recipe didn't say to do this) and dug in.

Oh my. I am definitely doing this again when I have company over.

made a sausage (ok hotdog) stew and another try at bread. I used Spitfire ale instead of water and added brown sugar to the dough. When cooking i poured water into a tray at the bottom of the oven and it helped with the crust, bread could have done with a few more mins as it was still a little stodgy but i like stodgy.

That's not a stew... But you have made a really nice looking loaf... I've had a few attempts at bread and that's a lot better looking than I've ever managed.

All the bread I've ever tried making ended up being more suitable as breakfast muffins.

Shrimp pad thai tonight. Decided to use an entire package of salad shrimp, as we didn't have enough of the larger kind. Worked out fine.
