I thought the whole tank philosophy was that russians were to be the heavy hitters at short range and unreliable at long range.
Americans high rof, mediocre accuracy, mediocre damage etc

I am confused! The gun might be better on the T110E5 or something.

The gun is pretty meh, ROF and pen are nice. The T110 really shines with that lol front armour, weakspots being the very bottom of the lower glacis and the very front of the commanders cupola to >230 pen guns, any sort of angle on that cupola bounces. Sides and back of hull and turret are paper thin sp don't get flanked.

Well some nations have tendency to have more tanks of there philosophy but most certainly there are tanks that go out of that mold and go into play style of what is supposedly other nations playstyle. So it is not homogeneous.

I kinda expected that the gun on the T110E5 would have been more accurate then it's russian counterparts.

T110 gun has excellent accuracy really, pretty much like e50. Make sure you dont move aim reticle moment you firing, I have noticed I do it sometimes when not concentrating and that throws aim off.

E: After having lost 5 matches in row I have won now 4 matches in row. I have gone more upclose with enemies to negate that accuracy issue.
All matches were above 1400+ xp earned. Trust is restored.

USA 120mm gun is overall better then 122 on is8 to be honest but that is just me.

I guess it depends on personal preferences but the russian 122mm feels chunkier, more reliable. When that gun is pointed at someone you know he is going to be in for some pain.

I think overall the Russian 122 top gun does a lot better with tank movement / turret rotation, esp. on the IS-8. I've made some pretty crazy hits at full speed with IS-8 on medium tanks on the move at range for example.

The problem is "American gun syndrome", where the shell just blatently dissapears. It's most apparent on the 105 on T29/T32 etc. Used to happen way more often though. Both 120mm on the M103 seems excellent to me, and the short amount of time I've spent with the 120mm M58, I haven't encountered the issue. It helps for sure my crew is 100% and i have snapshot and the driving accuracy one at 96% too. It works great at medium range where I hover, but I'd imagine at longer ranges it misses more.

In the replay I posted, I only bounced twice. Obj. 704 front (sometimes this works, others it doesn't), and the T95 side, which was a silly snapshot and can be expected.

Rarely, if ever, do I see an IS-8 bounce something. Those things can hurt.

The new gun on the IS-8/IS-4 is sex. I can't see why people hate on them so much post patch. Both decent tanks

Well to me the IS-8 is a piece of shit and i realy love to face them. Sure it has a decent gun but it has less armor, is slower and bigger then a med and has fucking awesome crit damage spot.

Bout' the merican gun, it is shooting way faster then any other T9 gun so i often end shooting two time at my opponent while they are still reloading and is less forgiving for miss/bounces since you don't loose 15 sec and probably all chances to hit your opponent if it happen.

I loved the M103, love the T110 just don't ... ever ... get flancked.

After having a go with the new balancing you should see a improvement. You'll probably still see Tier 9s on occasion but shouldn't as much.
