That's true, but still leagues ahead of you m8. Plus, play it like a td???? Well that means it's a SHIT MEDIUM.
Also, agile? Lol, compared to what, E-100? Comon, you can like Panther all you want, but don't go spouting rubbish. It's point of comparison is it's competition, and it's by far the least agile and least versatile of the three. Yeah T-43 is underpowered but at least it can turn, and isn't as big as a house, and you get the rev limiter thingy to help with power a little.
In general terms:
T20 > T-43 >>>>>>>>>>>>> Panther.
T-44 > Pershing > Panther II.
I prolly enjoyed VK3001P more then Panther, but that may be because I got through the P in like 30 games.
I admit German tanks don't suit me very well, they're so limiting, standoffish sniping bullshit. The most versatile tanks they have are the best, as in E-75 and KT, and though I can't in all honesty call it versatile, E-100 is decent too, although not as good as it used to be.
Hate hate hate, and pity, for the VK45B. I'll get through it, one double at a time, but god dammit, it's still got all the disadvantages it ever had ('cept mantlet) but has gained no advantages while competition is miles ahead, in everything.
Oh and Ferdi, which used to be good in beta, had a while as glorious impenetrable supertank after 6.4, is pretty crap these days. Doesn't bounce anything anymore unless you're at over 9000km range. I even oneshotted a Ferdi from 10m distance with M40/43, from direct FRONT with HE. If the poor thing is at distance with side to arty it'll explode from one hit as a rule if you hit, and shell sometimes goes through the roof as well from the front. But this 10m shot was level, right in his face, and poor bugger still took 1200dmg. Thing takes more arty dmg then ISU.
Germans need a boost to their shitty tanks!
E100 needs invulnerable to HE side skirts back!
Giev VK45B something extra! Dmg, Rof, hitpoints, SOMETHING!

I think the thing with German tanks is, if you can do them right they will beat just about anything. If you do them wrong they will punish you until you kill yourself.
But I do agree with Qui Shon's Tier 7 line up.
T20 > T-43 > Panther.
Pershing > panther II > T44* (also the pershing and panther II are v close in my eyes)
T20 > T-43 > Panther
*Have not driven panther II yet, that is based on shooting at them etc

Since I have both the Pershing and Panther II there is really not much difference between the two imo. Both drive very similar. I think for pros though, Panther II - Quicker / Pershing - More Agile.
The guns are pretty much the same although since the Pershing's a bigger round HE might be a bit better (but lol HE) and for bouncyness they both feel they bounce the same amount.
So really after a second thought it would be more like Panther II/Pershing > T-44 since they're both so similar.
How does agility vs speed (i.e. Pershing vs P2) stack up during gameplay? Seems like agility would be most useful close-up, but I don't think you'd want to use the Pershing for that kind of stuff, right? What sort of general strategies do you use then?

Tbh the whole this tank is better then that tank argument is a difficult one which I don't normally like getting in.
It really depends on map/game mode and what the other team has. Sometimes I am aggressive as hell and go brawling like a boss, other times I sit back and "snipe". If it is a more open map I want to be quicker but if it is a town map I want to be more agile so you really can't win a this is better then that argument with two tanks that are so similar :\

As far as "best" tank, diversity is king to determine that. If your daily selection doesn't look like the below, how can you judge? (You can't, you just think you can)
When I drove IS for the first time in beta, Tiger (later to be known as Tiger H) seemed shit, because I was killing them left and right, and I was more or less convinced it was shit and IS was far better.
But a few months later when I drove the Tiger myself, I was killin IS's left and right, and found the two tanks to actually be equal. IS was of course much more fun because mobility is fun, like T-44 is superior in funfactor over every other tier 8 med because of its agility, but overall performance wise, Tiger and IS were pretty equal for me, and have been ever since.

I'd have to say when used correctly The Panther II is better than the Pershing. However, the Pershing is a much more all-around tank, and is far more adaptable than the P2. If they Panther II is out of it's element, it's going to die, period. The Pershing still has a reasonably good chance.

About ramming
It doesn't matter if you take more damage, if the damage you do to him has a decent chance of being enough to finish them off. But sure, I too see people ramming when they really shouldn't.
