Swamp could have been made better if they'd turned it into one of the new match types. Maybe make the city or the central highland area the goal in an encounter map, or make the defending team guard the city from the other team in whatever the other type of new match is called. The most absurdly ridiculous map still in use is Malinovka in standard mode.

I still like the idea someone here put forward of allowing you to deselect two map types. Some people like one some another I guess.

How does the Panther compare to the T20 in playstyle/goodness?

Panther and T20 play very differently, mostly because the Panther isn't as quick/agile as the T20. Imo I loved the Panther but I loved the T20 even more.

It was interesting when I got to the Panther II and Pershing (which was about the same time) because once I had them both upgraded they played very similar to each other. I was blessed with only having to upgrade the tracks and turret on the Panther II so I can't say what the grind was like but both are very fun and good tanks.

Although the Pershing seems to be a bad penny for me :P

Panther is horrible and all you can do is tickle people from half a map away. Because if you go up close you can't maneuver (big, fat, slow), you can't hurt them (peck, peck, peck) and your turret doesn't turn very fast either.

T20 though, is great, very fast, good gun depression, maneuverable, okay gun.


Now sure if you like to sit way back behind everyone else (you pussy) maybe you can like the accuracy and pen of Panther then.

But I don't get it, it's a terrible tank. P2 is okay though, but not great.

Although in saying that I should also say, To each their own.

It is like I find there isn't much difference between the Panther II and Pershing just that the Panther II is quicker but I seem to have terrible luck driving it. It isn't that I am driving it wrong or bad but I just get terrible teams every time I drive the thing so I prefer driving the Pershing just because I barely ever lose in it.


On another Note I am only 20k away from eliting the E-100 and so far I have been loving driving it so I can't wait to see what it's like with the 150mm.

And then I can take a break from this game

What kind of idiot rams a german vehicle, let alone an E-100.

Also you're going to love the E-50, there is a special feeling reserved for ramming and shooting a batchat head on with you both going full pelt and instantly killing him from full health while barely taking a scratch yourself.

Yeah that is one thing I love about German tanks, every time something rams you that isn't German they always do more damage to themselves man it makes me laugh.

And Russian tank drivers seem to like doing that a lot so I'm always like trolololol.

There is 1 thing that the Panther II lacks, and it's something that I have a VERY hard time to overcome.

Gun Depression.

IT HAS NONE!

At least with the T-44 and Type 59 (they have the same gun depression as Panther II, -6 degrees IIRC), they are much lower profile, more agile, and have a reasonably bouncy turret. The Panther II has an awesome gun, but when your playing on hilly terrain and need to hull down...good luck.

I don't know maybe it is because I play so much German that the whole Gun Depression issue just doesn't bother me at all.

Yes it has terrible Gun Depression but the German tanks are plagued by that. I don't think it makes the Panther II go from great to good though vOv

Rammed a tracked Panther at full speed downhill in my Lowe for at least 180 damage yesterday. Would have been more but he dieded from it
