Well as an IS-8 owner I'm looking forward to not being murdered by other tier 9's as much (it's not to bad with top gun with anything else its terrible)
Changes they should have made with this patch to make me happy:
No XP for capping - its a way to win not to gain XP
MM bands should be narrower - no point in a T-28 in a tier 9 fight
Scouting only gets XP if scout is alive 20 seconds after the detection occurred.
I'm sure bads would still be bad but it would make them think of new ways to be bad.
fuck me the S-40 is truly awful. Fully upgraded it is still worse than a stock hetzer. It has no armor, no slope, can't turn, is slow as molasses, and can't hurt tanks it's own tier.
I don't get why people are so hating on the IS-8, I absolutely love it, you just really have to know what you're doing when you use it, i.e. don't expect bounces, but be moving, flanking, shoot well, judge the strategical situation well. I really just play it like a big medium trying to flank off other tanks. Also I often make sure I shoot hostiles on the facing wheel arch, so I both track and damage them, helping me dictate the pace of the battle. All these people caring so much about how soft it is are just too used to peek-a-boo games, fighting head on and hoping the opposition can't aim for weak spots.

Of all the things I hate in WoT, I think this is my most despised, and you see it a lot in randoms. Clans trying to team stack and then you get a couple of them on your team. I had Havok do this and I ended up with a pair of Obj. 212 on my team with a trio of tier X heavies on the other. The 212s went TD mode from the very beginning of the battle on Fisherman's Bay and hid in the city behind our main force but did nothing. I think they were hoping to hide out there while out team lost, but that plan didn't work out since we were actually kicking some ass. One of the artys ended up getting spotted and sniped, and then cursed us for not protecting him well enough. I called them out for being unsportsmanlike assholes to both teams, and the remaining 212 left the town and started shelling like a real SPG, but ended the without any kills. They played it off like nothing fishy was going on, too. They laughed about it and asked if I was being serious. I reported both arty on my team for unfair conduct but I doubt anything was done about it. I saw the same guys on my team the next day. First thing I notice is that [BOSS] tried to do a click-in and screwed up. 1 platoon is on other team, 1 platoon on my team. And it's obvious that I got the retard platoon in tier 10's. Two are decent @ 50% WR with ~1-1.1k efficiency. The third? He's sitting at a mighty 44% WR with 660 efficiency.
My team pushes city hard and we take it, only they are getting strung out. Some cannot keep up. Quick check to see who is out front...our IS-7 and Pershing. Both of whom are good. What is lagging behind? [BOSS]...that's who. And the retard with 44% WR in his IS-4 decides to hang back by the lakeside in city. Apparently attacking is a bad idea.
Our city get's crushed, even after I kill a T-54, E-50, and an IS-7. Where is our IS-4? Apparently, he decides the best strategy is to turn around and try to make it to base with his ass exposed the whole time. He gets raped by the enemy AMX50B. Worthless.
Then he proceeded to try call the shots for the next 5 minutes of the match and try to be boss. Yea, I slapped him down hard, and apparently the other [BOSS] members were coming to his rescue. Apparently, he is their main FC.
Oh, I almost forgot. They reported me for giving out the positions of the arty on our team. I said in game chat, "I love how our Havok arty sat in town doing nothing." This was after one of them had been spotted and died, and the other already started to flee back to the edge of the map like a typical SPG.

If you're in a clan and trying to do that tbh just change TS channels and try and kill your clan mates. Better practice. Many clan players are complete P***ies, totally used to free gold and premium ammo from the uber nap fests. Ass holes

Just got so sick of it today, played 14 matches trying to get daily double done on it, and it was just loss after loss.
Worst performing tank I owned, even fully upgraded. Its expensive to run, its one-time impressive armor doesn't do it any favors anymore with the power-creep of new tanks and I've a Patton too, which just completely outperforms it. Why bother keeping the damned thing and killing my stats? I wouldn't mind if it was expensive AND fun, but it isn't so, I recycled it.
I'll buy it back when the T62a is available, if that proves to be good. Might get an E50 now, have it unlocked, sure it might burn a bit after tomorrow, but what German tank doesn't?

On a related note, I have my E-50 up to 44% wins but still no 10.5cm gun. It really is hilarious when you ram shit at a full clip.
I wish they would split up the game modes so we can choose to do encounter battle, CTF battle, or assault/defense battle.
Encounter is fine, CTF is fine.
Assault can go fuck itself.
Had an Assault battle in my Object 212 on ruinburg, I was on defense....which means I do jack all. I cant go anywhere, since we are surrounded from the get-go and I have buildings all around me. Go defense!
Then another assault in my IS-7 on prohovkha, and I was on defense again. We had more mediums than the enemy team...but what do they do? Camp the hill...and ironically enough, they were the first to die.
After 1/2 the team died, my friend and I decided to just suicide bum rush their team. We lost.
WG not QA testing their new shit. Go figure! We need the ability to choose the game mode or at least blacklist one mode for each tank. Same goes with maps people don't like to play.
I love Assault, I have played a few assault matches and even though a few were loses they were awesome.
Also loving the M26 Pershing, fantastic tank can't wait to get it upgraded.
T32 seems suspiciously less mobile....

Wow, it's just world of terrible now. I had some games where I couldn't pen for any damage whatsoever (all zero damage WE HIT HIM HARD!!! bullshit), and others where half my team was afk. I've now run out of credits, and I'm considering selling my arty or just quitting. Seriously, the game's just stupid now.
I'm down to 150k credits myself. But that's mostly because I just purchased an M40/43 and Maus.
Had an assault battle with my Maus on Komarin, where I had to assault enemy team. Ran into an Object and 2x Pattons. Fought them going up hill while using rocks as cover. Bounced most of their shots and tore them a new one.
Only problem?
Each time I'd retreat to go back into cover, my Maus wouldn't stop and kept sliding down the hill....Even on full forward the momentum would take it virtually to the bottom of the hill before it would stop and I'd start my uphill climb again.

reducing speed to last speed of reverse ( once f ) then pressing space ( break ) and tap r two times fast. It should stop and start going forward slowly.
That's one of the best features! Automatic escape system! I almost TKed a friendly AMX 40 (poor platoon choice on his part) in my first Maus match because I didn't know it did that and he made a poor placement decision. I get home and it's already late so everyone I typically play with are offline.
Time to hit it up solo.
First game...Everyone is 44-48% WR range...it's an encounter battle. People bum rush the flag and die. We lose.
Second game...Again, everyone is low WR and this time it's an assault. We are defenders. 1/2 the team decide to go on offense and die. One at a time of course. Myself and the others manage to hold out till time ticks down and we barely win 2 vs 6.
Third through last game... I was the only person who had above 50% WR on my team. Literally. Not one other person was even close to me on my team. Lost a ton of matches. And won maybe 1-2 more?
Hell, in my last game I was in my M4 Sherman taking on an enemy Sherman, SU-100, AND a T1 heavy. And I killed the Sherman, got the SU-100 down to 100hp before arty finally got me.
The people who play UTC-10 or later are seriously bad....like retard bad.
There was a JP IV who had 28k games under his belt and he was sitting at something like 450 efficiency and 43% WR.
