I would say that Eve has the dumbest players considering people can lose huge amounts of real money for their stupidity, and they do. But on the other hand I've never been as frustrated with PvP-related stupidity in Eve as I have been with WoT. Sometimes you just see things that are so illogical at high-tier battles you wonder how it is those players ever acquired those tanks.

Implying you need to pick fights in the Jagdtiger. It just eats everything no matter what its facing.

If you mean it eats every shell sent at it, yes. As said, it is big and poorly armoured on the front. Upper part is good, but lower plate is big, soft and everything goes straight into engine. You cannot angle an Jagdtiger (much) to compensate.

I'm not sure if there have been changes in last few patches, I haven't played it in quite some time (months, I sold it), but it really pissed me off. The grind for the big gun was really shitty experience. It was such a downgrade from Ferdinand it is not funny.

In short, for me the Jagdtiger was :
- priority target for arty, easy to hit.
- easy to penetrate from front. I was getting penetrated from the front way too easy for my liking and it is not like you can hide it. What pissed me most was penetrations right where that light is on the upper middle of the tank
- trivial to hit from side. Side of the Jagdtiger is huge target, you really don't have to be a good shot to hit it with any gun at any range.

Don't get me wrong, gun is great. Snaps to a target in no time, long range hits for awesome damage were quite easy. I really loved it on the open maps, you can provide fire to most of the map, turn, snap, big damage number above target in no time. Didn't really appreciate it on urban maps.

61% win ratio in 119 fights, so I think I did fairly decent in it. Just didn't like it all that much.

Not sure whether I want to sell the Pershing to help pay for the Patton, or just strip the crew and equipment off it, transfer them to the Patton and keep the Pershing hull until I can be bother to recrew it.

Keep the pershing, move the crew to the patton, get fresh crew for the pershing. Don't bother moving the equipment. Thats what I did anyway. Pershing crew is now on 2nd secondary skill, patton on 3rd.

The reason lies solely with RNG. Look at the one heavily RNG dependent combat mechanic in EVE: ECM - everyone fucking hates it. Nearly everything else is player action required, so when shit hits the fan generally it wasn't a capricious dice roll which caused it; losses and wins as it were in EVE have tractable sources, making it much easier to process the information and accept the losses and the reasons they happen, resulting in much less rage. And most of the rage that does exist in the game (relating to combat) is directed at other players using "cheap" gameplay styles and not poor game mechanics themselves.
