I think it is actually best tier 5 heavy atm. Has best gun anyway.

It's a Tier 6, the BDG G1B is the Tier 5.

The ARL-44 has huge fucking slab sides and the tracks stick out hilariously far, on more than one occasion I've been mercilessly raped when rounding corners because they blow my track off then just plink away at the exposed sides while my turret in stuck behind the building. High silhouette doesn't help either, and the 90mm lacks punch. Maybe thats because I'm so used to the massive damage of the Russian 122s and BL-10. I dunno. After 50 battles my win ratio is 52%, 42 kills, and I honestly have no urge to play it or even go further up the French heavy line.

Sold it, bought a VK(DB) instead, a tank I know I'll enjoy.

Never went up the French heavy-line but 90mm in t6 is not uncommon. Just look at the M6 heavy (90mm albeit an awesome one), m36/m18 has 90mm. German t6s got 88mm as their "top" gun. Russians used to have the kv3 with the 122 but that's t7 now making the 107/152mm their main t6 guns. Except on the KV1-s that has the Standard Issue Bentbarrel 122mm.

From the outside it looks like a pretty good tank out in the open, its problems are shared by many of the other T6 HTs (Shoebox w/ 90mm M6 representing).

In my experience, it's when they simply refuse to show their flanks and peekaboo you that the type59's are bloody unkillable. Everything bounces on that front.

On standard account 40-50k on standard account easy a game usually more though. For me i tend to make more in it than my T34 and its more fun to drive.
The Armor since a couple patches ago isn't as bouncy and the matchmaking is more or less a standard Tier 8 so no special pwnmobile matchmaking like it used to be.

I'm finding its averaging about 70k or so for a meh match, and upwards of 100 for a good one. It seems to shit out far more credits then my Lowe does. I feel thats because every one knows where too shoot the lowe at this point, Its also a much bigger target & its shitty mobility means that if you find your self in a fucked position your done for. The type on the other hand bounces anything that comes from the front, the low profile means some tanks cant aim low enough to hit a penetratable surface on the turret if your hugging them, & its mobile enough to bug out if you can feel the heat around the corner. I also prefer the medium play style TBH

In other news I'm kinda digging the new KV-1, Played a few rounds with the 85mm, it pack a pretty nice punch, but seems a lil bit inaccurate, but this could be due to me having an 80% crew because fuck having my uber 2 perk crew in the kv-1. All in all seems pretty decent, and well balanced for tier 5. I'm thinking about trying the 57mm for a few rounds, I fell in love with that gun on the T-34 so it may be pretty fun on this thing. Haven't played the T-150 yet, but I give it whirl before I decide to keep it or chuck it.

thats pretty much what I ment, a simple 2 kill match imo is kinda meh, A good match is like 4+ kills, or like 2 kills and a shit load of damage to bunch of other shit.

After 15 battles in the AMX 13 90 I have a 7% victory rate and a 0% survival rate.
Love the tank though. I think I finally figured out that it's not actually a scout like the 13 75, but an aggressive flanker. Now to test this theory.

its pretty cheap for a high end gold tank and fun to drive. Buy it now while its cheap to buy the mods imo. I've only had a t34 and valentine other than that and hated them both.

anything 12t up is not a scout nor head on tank. If their gun is pointing at you your doing it wrong. You should be with a brawler nipping round the back of houses and flanking them and using the brawler as mobile cover.

Sold T-50-2 to make space for 13 90. Died without firing a shot. Team better not win.

edit: Phew didnt. I suck in AMX tanks, but they're still the most fun ones I have.

It's kind of shitty how they didn't buff the IS-4 frontal armour at all. E-100s derping me in the front despite heavy angling are not fun.

Except for the part where they did. Slope got more aggressive, increasing effective thickness by 24mm, shoulders got +20mm thickness, too.

And i'm saying it's still a huge weakspot against tier X or IX enemies that you fight a ton more of now since it got bumped a tier. I bounce more shots on my ass in that tank than I do from the front. Sure you can have some lucky bounces on your sides or front corners, but it's really finicky and dice-roll based. There's no way to not get reliably fucked over from the front against a good enemy. An extra 600 hp doesn't seem a huge amount when the big high tier guns can eat that in one good shot.
