I use Vents/Rammer/EGLD on mine. I'm not sure a vertstab is worth it since while it is a mobile heavy, its not really mobile enough to be contantly driving and manouvering like a medium would. I really don't find myself shooting on the move, if I do its at point-blank range against a target I can reliably kill with one shot.

Depends on your play-style though, I use the IS-3's agility to exploit gaps in the enemy line so I can move up to the next piece of cover or fire position and engage the next enemy from there, rather than firing on the move while ducking and dodging as I would do in my Patton.

Vstab > EGLD for anything that can mount it. Vstab offers you both increased mobile accuracy and faster aiming time, EGLD only does the latter.

    Oh yeah, good point.

Guess I'll be swapping that out then. When I can afford one.

It should be mentioned though that iirc past a certain amount of time spent aiming the EGLD is better at reducing aim time, but that mostly applies to static/sniper-y play (aka faggotry) where you actually wait until you are really completely zeroed in and usually don't shoot ASAP after pulling the handbrake or even on the move.

Indeed, although the window is so small that I doubt it's worthwhile ever. I don't recall the specifics, but I think it's only the last ~20% of the process.

How do you play the Pershing? I can't do it at all. Nobody is afraid of you in this tank, as it has almost no armour and it's damage output is not very scary. It's a good tank if you have time to put several shots into enemies, but if you get pushed by someone who can hurt you, you're boned. And it's not like you can say "well don't get in those positions", because as a tier 8 you're expected to do a lot more than the T20. And teams are just sucking more and more every day so you can't rely on them to be useful and help you out or distract enemies.

tbh its hard to put into words. Its almost as good a sniper as P2, but a bit more mobile and the turret is better protected. Ungodly gun depression (must use it or die!) to get shots in from odd angles and accuracy on the move that is only surpases by m48 when it comes out (because it doesn't move lol).

That is pretty much a typical game for me in the Pershing.

I am just super aggressive with it and try to use its agility (because lol it isn't fast) to get around people and avoid their guns etc. Although it also snipes well. But just use it as a flanker/brawler.

The opposing team there were morons, and your team actually helped you out. So I guess the strategy is use hills a lot? Cool, although that doesn't help you on a map with no hills.

If you show your hull in a US med or heavy, you are fucked. You might have a better time on Karelia, Steppes or Airfield.

Totally depends on what you like. The turret TDs are far more mobile but cannot take hits as well as their normal counterparts. I would just try out both, liked the T49 so much that I kept him as I did with the T25 AT (the better Jpanther). Regarding top tier, the T30 plays much like a common heavy while the T95 is a brick wall (regarding armor and speed).

T28 is a dog though. It's taking me forever to get through it on doubles, which I can only stand to do a third of the time. It's got a nice gun, but it doesn't really have armor except against lower tiers which I don't get much, and it's so god damn awfully slow, and quite small gun traverse limits too. Every so often I drive from start to finish toward the enemy, not stopping even once before having my sights on someone, but I'm lucky to get even one or two shots off.

Yeah, T95 will be even worse in that regard, but at least it's got armor and big badaboom to compensate for it.

T49 is great though, M18 ain't too bad and T25/2 is imo more fun then T25.

T30 is and always has been great, whether tier 10 heavy or tier 9 td.

If your tank suffers a total crew kill, can a med-kit be used to heal one of them and get the tank going again?

Nope, you are out of the match even though the tank is still intact.
