Hahahaha now it works and they still haven't added Austria as its own country, meaning I still get the popup, telling me that german youth laws forbid a download of the game outside of 23-0600 hours.

It's even worded wrong and says that the game can only be downloaded "between 06:00 and 23:00"

yeah fuck you too, EA. Origin uninstalled the 2nd time, cancelled pre-order because of this, now decided I really won't buy. What a terrible service. More time for the backlog of quality single-player games, more money for GoG.

Use Hotspot Shield to start the download, then close it and continue with normal speed, worked perfectly fine for me.

Nah, fuck them. The issue with missing/wrongly associated countries and currency has been known since origin launched, it would probably take them to merely bend a finger to fix it but they don't care. I know I could use a VPN, I even bought openvpn gigabytes a while back I could use for that, but fuck all this DRM shit, platform shit, DLC shit etc.
I don't care about videogames that much anymore, I do however care about service quality so I'm mad.

So what? They fix bugs after release too. The game comes out in like three weeks, it's already gone through certification and they're busy printing discs. This is a promotion, nothing else. Yes there will be day zero patches that fix some issues, but that doesn't change anything.

there seems to be a lot of groupthink going on about Metro. On basically every forum I frequent there are people complaining that it is bad without actually having reasons for their opinion.

I mean, its not the best battlefield map there has ever been (and lacks vehicles like 99% of Karkand servers did), but tbh I like it quite a lot for the fast paced gameplay that was also present in the BF2 city maps like Warlord, Karkand and Ghost Town.

I think totalbiscuit nailed it when he said that it feels a lot more like CoD and less like a proper battlefield map, the tunnel parts especially wouldn't be out of place on CoD.
