Anyone having issues with the HUD in multiplayer? Ammo/Health counter seems to have disappeared, thought I'd pressed a key randomly but I can't see any keys bound to toggling this.

It seems a few folks are complaining of this issue on the BF3 boards but no one can put their finger on whether it's a bug or a server side setting or whatever.

I've finally tried branching out from the engineer class, and feel so goddamn useless whenever a tank rolls around

Try out support then, C4 is fucking awesome for ruining the day for a few tanks.
Also, unlimited ammo for you and those around you.

I've started dumping ammopacks and medipacks in the back of jeeps then cruising around as a mobile resupply point

I think I mentioned this back on p. 70 or something, I also think it's server side, possibly even default hardcore mode setting or something, you get used to it tbh, only still mildly annoying if you're firing M320 from the hip.

Don't have a problem with HC mode, just personally never come across limiting the players HUD in such a way.

Not that it's a bad thing, and it's not like you have to play on HC servers if you don't like what is on offer.

Anyway, 4 day weekend starts tomorrow and I intend dieing a lot whilst getting a few more unlocks...

Teamkilling is part of FPS, the reason it's turned off on normal servers is because of noobs, easy to play like a retard with no care of what your doing.

I don't agree with this one tbh, makes it too modern warfare for me and easier for people with a shit shot. Only time people should die quickly is via headshot.

My only problem with hardcore is that you can't see the fire mode indicator, so you have to waste bullets to test which one you're in.

i personally like a sence of realism in my shooters, fuck regenerating health (especially on vehicles lol) and magical huds are are implanted into my soldiers eyeballs

i don't play hardcore because i have a hard enough time seeing people in normal mode, let alone with no HUD. just be thankful they allowed you to filter out servers you don't want to play on, seems a bit daft to come and whinge about it on here as well.
