Battlefield 3 - Clearly wanting a DayZ mod

Am officially no longer suck at aircraft \o/
Not good at shooting shit on the ground yet, but aircraft aren't all that bad.

I haven't flown any aircraft yet, mainly because I am scared about my stats (MY STATS BACKBONE!). My stats are shit, though.

I don't understand the flying engine. How are you supposed to control an aircraft with a keyboard and a mouse. No, I won't buy a joystick.

For some reason, I seem to be alright in a tank. So, if my stats are about to hit the ground floor (pretty normal occurence), I hop into a tank and undo all of my mischievings.

I've found a nice close by server, that concentrates on infantry fights with a vehicle respawn rate slowed by the factor of 5. If you get in a tank on that server, you are pretty boss.

Who the fuck (well, you obviously) care about stats? I'd have laughed a lot less if I didn't die 1.5 times for every time I killed someone tbh. Nothing like suiciding yourself to boop the fuck out of someone, C4 them or apply explosives in general.
The game is about fun, those that want to win can go play life. 8)

The game is about completing objectives. If its a good game, the objectives are 'fun' to complete.

Touney play would be the most stripped down HUD you had ever seen, it was pretty much just an ammo counter and crosshairs. THe gun model, the scope zoom and all that jazz was off.

My last 24 hours in this game were absolutely terrible. Win Loss ratio of 1 to 8, and I ain't shitting you.

Even when I was like :winwinwin:, sure as hell for some reason autobalance kicked in and no matter if I've been on the server for more than an hour and in a squad, 't was me who got balanced.

One more thing: For some reason I started to get oneshotted like a bitch. Don't know if I am bearing armed C4 on me or whatever the christ is wrong.

also it's fucking stupid that semi-auto shotguns basically have the same buck OHK range as the 870.

Fucking battlelog

(game is patched, browser is updated)

1) run origin, log in
2) run battlelog
3) select any map and join
4) BF3.exe window flickers up, stays black until I alt tab (last time I waited about 20 minutes just in case)
5) upon alt tabbing, bf3.exe closes
6) battlelog tells me "connection failed"
7) repeat.

I found the PP19 not that bad, it got an accuracy buff in the last patch. I found the UMP to be pretty bad, short clip, meh RoF and damage means it takes too long to put anyone down and if you fail then you HAVE to reload for another try. The PDW-R was also a big disapointment, the damage is nice but the accuracy is horrible beyond short range.
