So 40% off on BF3 for 24 hours (US time), now'd be the time to get it?
Not sure if any big issues with BF3 have been addressed yet, only been semi-following this thread so I could determine whether or not I was sure I'd enjoy BF3.

Needs to be several hours in the future, dammit.
I swear they've ruined my F2000 at range..
It's late and I may have been drinking, so I don't know if this is sarcasm or not... but they nerfed all the rifles so its harder to kill people on auto at range. So now you can't scar/g36/f2000 people from the other side of the map (well, you can, but not as stupidly consistant as you could). I think everyones pretty ok with the change, as it was a tad silly/op previously.
Tac lights took a well deserved hit and are no longer brighter than the sun from more than 5-10m. At range you get a glint like the 7/8/12x scopes do but its blueish.
IRNV also took a range nerf, aparently they get a fog of war after about 50m, I say aparently as I have never used the pathetic thing.
IS-4, T110E5, T-54, E-50, IS-8, M103, T34, Type 59, M26 Pershing, AMX 13 90, KV-3, SU-122-44, AMX AC Mle. 1946, SU-101, T20, T71, T25/2, KV-1S, T21, Jgdpzr IV, Sherman E8, GW Panther, AMX 12t, M18, Stug III, T-50-2, T-34, PzIV, ELC AMX, Crusader, Covenanter, SU-26, T1, RenaultFT.
IRNV got nerfed, its still ok, but its not the MUST HAVE 24/7 that it was. Taclights are less of an issue now but still blind at the short short ranges they should. The only real issues now are a couple of random game stopping/crashing bugs and a few inf v vehicle balance things. Theres nothing I can think of that'd I'd say 'You shouldn't buy BF3 if...' (apart if you have a pants computer).
People rage at DICE but at least they're being pretty proactive in balance/fixing.
Well grabbed it, I want some jet love <3
And $35 is better than $60 so vOv.
Honestly, I just want to pull a Rendezook. God damn that was awesome.
Welp, there are worse reasons to play than wanting to do awesome stuff. Like you could want to play recon. Or sit in a tank on a hill for an entire game. Also, I think I still prefer the James Bond, Damavand Peak chopper steal.

Theres just something so amazingly 'fuck you, fuck your chopper and fuck your team' about opening up with an assault rifle into a littlebird and then stealing it.
I remember seeing that one, that was also good. But mainly Rendezook, Operation Asshat and MAVscre have convinced me BF3 is great.
Also that one I posted of the trolling via blowing a water tower. THAT was hilarious.
Edit: Also fuck faggots sitting in tanks on hills sniping. That shit pissed me off to no end in BC2.

Bluish lens glare is pretty hard to catch sometimes even with high settings. A word on Tac-lights: If you aren't on Metro or playing on a large 64 map in daylight, TURN THEM OFF. Those things are bullet magnets at anything but close range. I play sniper a lot. I was picking up the glare from Tac-lights left on at 800m+ with the 8x scope on Nashar Canals. I used it as a reference point to get headshots off of their carrier (they had been sniping from it earlier and therefore fair game in my book) even though it's normally fogged out and invisible. Seiene Crossing, Firestorm, Kharg, etc. are all the same. If you can find an elevated spot then you'll see tac-lights from long distances even if the range normally fogs out.
Also, Spec Ops clothing cuts down on the amount of body parts that show up on the IRNV even at 50m.
