The SVD is 7.62x54, M98B not so much.
M98B is using the .338 Lapua Magnum, which was designed to penetrate 5 layers of body armor at 1000m.
It fires a bullet that weighs 72% more (match grade sniper ammo) at about 4% higher velocity (7,62x51 @ 790m/s vs .338 lapua magnum @ 826m/s), which means it will fuck shit up a lot harder at a lot longer range, with less bullet drop and bullet velocity will degrade at a slower rate.
Note: 7.62x51 NATO suck balls for long range shooting.
