    It's a 7.62x54 rather than a x51 NATO but the case length is close enough to make the point vs. the .50cal.

    The SVD is 7.62x54, M98B not so much.
    M98B is using the .338 Lapua Magnum, which was designed to penetrate 5 layers of body armor at 1000m.
    It fires a bullet that weighs 72% more (match grade sniper ammo) at about 4% higher velocity (7,62x51 @ 790m/s vs .338 lapua magnum @ 826m/s), which means it will fuck shit up a lot harder at a lot longer range, with less bullet drop and bullet velocity will degrade at a slower rate.


    Note: 7.62x51 NATO suck balls for long range shooting.

    Below radar is an always-on perk once you unlock it, you do not equip it like any of the other perks for it to be active. It is ~supposed~ to prevent air-to-air missiles being locked against you while you are flying low to the ground (AGL indicator blinking red), but this effect is somewhat glitchy - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I think its also supposed to remove you from air radar while at those elevations, but god only knows if that works or not at all. For helicopters I try to use it whenever possible, but its only a minor buff to your survivability on the whole. Its practically worthless for jets.

    I did as someone suggested in a youtube video earlier on in the thread, and bound spacebar to "pull up" in jets (and unbound it from fire). Combined with turning up my sensitivity, I have upgraded from useless jet pilot to "not really that terrible."

    I break about even against other jets, and usually farm some points against choppers. Next unlock is rockets wich should be fun.

    Mmmm nais vid though vehicle heavy. I suck with the vehicles, like even more than I suck on foot. I am loving the game though despite being terrible. Think I just need to learn to stop charging around the place like Rambo all the time.

    Rambo charging best charging. When I play SKS recon or support my train of thought is spawn -> look for nearest flag -> run towards flag and attempt to capture -> die/repeat.

    i play too much TDM but on metro that almost helps.

    i find if i am too careful/slow i just end up getting knifed

    best play on conquest and rush seems to be: look for a squad, chose assault, slavishly stick with them ... 20 meters behind. kill off what killed them, revive whats dead and continue on.
    change squad if team is retarded.

    Yeah that happens to me a lot too :/

    Need a group of regular bros to squad up with as the few times I've been with a decent squad it can work quite well but usually I'm just wandering around on my own, getting teamkilled by jumpy morons or gunned down by people sneaking up behind me.

    Since the patch removed auto-join of squad, noticing a lot less people joining squads. Often means if you end up on a team of :retards: even less likely to win as they can't spawn close. Really annoying. Also rage at the chap who wouldn't drop ammo resupply earlier when I ran out of rpgs and was on a tank killing rampage.

    Yea i'm pretty pissed about that change too. Makes no sense at all, also retards who dont drop ammo or health packs.

    I know you flash up on the map when you fire without a silencer, does that show up for mortars too? Because that would be pretty OP

    yes mortars show up every time they fire, and yes mortar duels are fucking retarded. it's like trying to take on a sniper who's staring down a long coverless hallway- not gonna work if he has half a brain.

    the mortar minimap is your regular minimap blown up x%. so yes, if they are in LOS of a teammate.
