Had a gunner take over pilot while I was out repairing, then he ran me over, then he welped the thing 30s later. The chopper was still on fire. I can't fanthom what on earth is going through peoples heads when they do stupid shit like that.

The irony of course being that gunners easily have the chance to earn twice as many points than the pilot.

someone did that with my tank the other day. under 20% left i hop out and start repping .. then someone steals in and drives a block away and it explodes

I especially love those teammates who use the vehicles other than the jeeps as transports. Like driving a MBT up to an enemy point and just hopping out.. enemies hop in and proceed to kill our guys on foot. Or grabbing the jets/choppers at the start of a match, flying to the first control point just 100m away and bailing out to cap the point. Meanwhile the other team wrecks our land vehicles and seizes control of the map using their air vehicles effectively.

Also... what is with the mouse controls for jets? Lets say I want to pull up, I'll move the mouse down, the plane pulls up for a couple seconds, then it levels out. So to do a loop or turn I have to keep dragging the mouse down over and over, which results in a large turning radius and jerky movements. I look at videos on youtube of jet pilots doing smooth maneuvers and very tight turns. This possible with the mouse? Or should I just leave the jets to people with gamepads/joysticks?

Still assembling a PC to run this but I'm intrigued by the jets. Do RL tactics work? High side attacks? Diving with heavier airframes and climbing with lighter ones?

crack up the sensitivity. works a treat for me . i used mouse and keybaord to fly the planes. im terrible but not becuae of the controls

with the sensitivity up you can clear 2 loops without having to reset your mouse position.

when flying jets i use a drag method - move mouse down to go up when I get close to the edge of desk, pick up move back to the middle and repeat, during transit while picking up my mouse bf3 jets still turn, no idea why. Also on hardcore some maps have a sun, try flying into the sun to avoid enemy jets guns. (Disclaimer: Have not actually tried this yet)

They are broken as I said before but less broken then i thought. Air vehicles seem unkillable, you just bounce off them.

As far as Ground vehicles go idk, sometimes I get bounce sometimes I don't. Might be something to do with lag.
