Agreed. I linked the Mass Effect one to a friend, he told me about the Skyrim videos. I don't even play Skyrim and still find them excellent.
I would be sorely, sorely tempted by a Poker Night on the Normandy xpac where you could pick the characters you played with. The potential for win~~ would be off the scale.
I played ME3 briefly a couple of weeks ago, made some progress.
Now I've loaded it for the first time since then and my save game seems to have disappeared. The only option I have is to start a new game.
Back at the time, I had quit and reloaded and had the option to continue the game I was playing.
Anyone know what the jesus is going on?![]()
Is there a Bioware\Mass Effect 3 subfolder in your documents folder? If not you're probably fucked (unless the cloud feature of Origin is messing with you).
Still in the top 10,000 in the Xbox 360 leaderboards, my Gamertag is EchoEpsilon23 if you want to hit me up.
Just got through a Gold multiplayer match with some (very good) randoms, to try for a victory pack whatsit. Pretty nasty stuff.
Domination.
Vote Lark for CSM
I held the line with my Salarian engi on Cerb/Tuchanka/Gold. Top of the ramp that leads to that little control room. Things are going well, we have a geth infiltrator with a GPS that's wrecking all the things, get to extraction wave. With fifteen seconds left I run for the LZ, and everyone else just waits around. Cross the blue line with 0 seconds and .5 of a health bar left. I'm the only name in white on the stats screen.
GREAT SUCCESS.
Summertime. The only thing that gives me hope is that Pat Weeks is writing it, and he was responsible for writing Mordin and the whole Tuchanka arc, so he can get things done. I don't know how he's going to polish that turd, but it should be some really high quality lacquered shit.
Meh. I was just speculating, but haven't heard anything like that so vOv. I don't mind Origin on principle, but it further delays the launch of ME3 (which is basically never, now that I played through it once) unnecessarily. Origin launch (no Mr EA, I don't keep it running because all your other games I have on Origin launch without it), ME3 launch and two online connection checks (Galaxy of Wank, DLC eligibility) before I can start the game, by that time I already loaded a ME2 savegame and are playing happily...
Origin is also pretty bad when it comes to the whole store thing - they recently switched Switzerland from using the English storefront to a language selection which leads to either the German, French or Italian stores. Which wouldn't bother me (since you usually pick what language to download your games/demos in anyway) if it wasn't for the fact that it's literally the German store, complete with their retarded "youth protection" limitations, like not allowing adults to download "violent" games (like the Amalur demo) between 6am and 10 or 11 pm. It's nice to have language specific stores available for all the people who don't understand English, but not offering the option to switch is dumb especially when they don't actually use a country specific store but just link to an inferior one from some clown country with bizarro laws. Although admittedly I'm still less fucked than, say, a foreigner who logs into Origin from a Japanese IP (stationed there, vacation, whatever) and only gets to use the Japanese language store.
I think it's going to be pretty hilarious, if only for the comedy value - but I don't expect to get any motivation to replay the game out of this, if anything I'll load a savegame to watch the trainwreck once. On that note, it's awesome how for the last 30 minutes or so (shortly before the whole missile thing) you're unable to make manual saves, with only autosaves to keep your progress - until you finish the game and it reloads your last pre-Cereal base save and sets this as an autosave for future DLCs.
how long do you guys think the multiplayer will stay alive? looks fun, may pick it up when the game gets a bit cheaper.
For the singleplayer mode the MP impact is negligible as we can just edit war asset numbers or EMS directly. Although it will suck for those who don't do that for some reason, though.
As a unique feature, I'd miss it more if it wasn't for the whole nickle&dime/unlock lottery shit and ban potential due to INI tweaks. They're seriously retarded for trying to monetize a cooperative MP mode that's using (un- or just lightly encrypted) client-side settings, then banhammering people who modify the INI that contains the shitty controls as well as the whole reward information even for multiplayer...
So yeah, it doesn't matter because as fun as it can be to play, its implementation is utterly moronic and nobody should miss it (except for those who spent lots of RL money on unlocks I guess).

EA will herald it as a massive success though, because people have spent £££ on the MP Unlocks.
Free Clamdong!
If you can get people to buy shit they can get for free with minimal effort its probably a success tbh.
I actually like the multiplayer for random shits and giggles trolling with stupid things like melee-only asari vanguards or sniper only krogan.
Also, easier to play a round every so often to keep my EMS up high enough for the best ending when I can actually be fucked to complete my ME1 full-paragon save I want to take all the way through the game.
Also, my solution to the shit ending is to pretend that destroy only kills reapers and never ever buy another bioware game.
