    Spaztick goes to Commiefornia

Instead of the joy and fulfillment of spending Thanksgiving with family, I decided to take a vacation. The problem is I'm now in the worst possible place to be because I let my penis do the thinking and my girlfriend picked a road trip up the west coast.

A week of doxxing myself, making the near-fatal mistake of leaving my drink alone with Erich, and spending a week giving money to a state full of tankies disguised as normal, reasonable, likable people. This is...

December is often a bad time to drive in California.

Currently scheduled for up to 65mph winds on coast and a couple of inches of rain over the next few days. Maybe frost on the ground in early mornings depending on location (below freezing last night up in Napa iirc.) Watch out for road closures due to flooding/landslides, fog, fucking idiots that can't drive in the wet and/or get drunk over holidays.

    Other than that have fun!

Thanks, I'm a bit into the trip and it's been a blast so far. Weather hasn't cooperated and has been rainy/windy ever since we got here. I've been meaning to post stuff sooner but haven't found the time; been hard at work relaxing. Day 1, not 5 minutes off of the airplane, The State greeted me with an "all-gendered restroom" sign in the airport (known as a "restroom" in the rest of the world). I didn't get a picture of it, but maybe on the return trip.

I did get pictures of the San Diego zoo:

Well, it's too bad you decided to do that road trip just after a massive early snowstorm. You can cross off visiting a bunch of nice spots in the Sierra mountains for a while.

If you are still in San Diego, make sure you visit the maritime and aerospace museums as well as the USS Midway.

In Los Angeles, you can see an intact space shuttle in the California science center, and you want to experience the LA traffic, just decide to drive anywhere between 6am and 10pm during a weekday.

If you are taking the highway 1 north, plan to spend some time visiting the giant trees (redwood forests) in NorCal:
    Humboldt Redwoods State Park
    Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park
    Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park

Thanks! Don't worry about me, avoiding traffic and dodging bullets should be easy in the gun-free state full of good public transportation ideas.

I left him with more than my drink but I think he didn't put anything in either of them. Speaking of which:

The bed at the Grant that I banged my girlfriend on1. Note the art above the bed that looks kind of like a creepy group of musicians or dancers:

Nearby was this picture of President Grant, hand hidden near his trousers:

    The Ball Room (heh):

And images from a better and more enlightened time:

And of course I missed this going up, If you make it up to norcal be sure to hit the montery bay aquarium, it's probably the single best aquarium in the US and one of the best in the world, you can legit spend most of a day there. Also you're probably not going to be around for it but https://www.calacademy.org/nightlife is probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen, I've gone a few times and it's super fun.

    I second that, highly recommended.

Have been there twice already and its simply awesome. To me, the little things make it so impressive. E.g. there are the stairs (IIRC in the middle at the big tank) and for each few steps you take downwards, there's a little aquarium in the wall showcasing the flora/fauna that deep in the Monterey bay. So by goind down the stairs, you also "dive down" the Monterey bay.

If you head south-ish towards Oceanside and San Diego, stay in the Pala Casino. It was cheap at about $70 a night, it has nice pools and ammenities. plus gambling!

Also plenty of Marines whoa re fun to talk to.

We ran out of time and didn't get to visit everything we wanted, including the casinos near Nevada and SD and the aquarium, but we did have some fun driving along the coast from SD up to Monterrey, at least near Malibu when the weather wasn't absolute ass:

    Doxxing my girlfriend without permission:

Turns out this was a nice sunset and not a wildfire on the ocean like I expected:

And the weather near Pebble Beach was great and I only faintly smelled pot the whole time:

And even found the key tourist attraction, a homeless vet that California's great social programs are known for:

Coming up, I meet a dirty liberal in person and tell them what I really think about them.

I hope you gave the vet a dollar for taking his picture.

Here we have me and my handsome face next to Erichh, my sidekick in the world of internet spaceship captains. He does some kind of gaming company thing too. We got a beer and burger and he was probably happy me and my girlfriend weren't one of those creepy poly couples we kept running into:

Erich still milking the world cup win I see
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.
