The dark urge also has plenty of unique stuff about the main story.
It's a bug that your companions are so thirsty for you.

That was awesome !
I can't get enough of the cast noodling around with a Narrator in the background.
technology can’t solve economic and political problems
This game showed everyone how it should be done - with passion and talent. Straight up antipode of todd's debacle.
Meh, passion and talent once again didn't suffice to create a decent last act or a halfway interesting mainstory while the UI and quality of life features
are rather old fashioned.
The presentation is great, there is lots to discover yet it all starts to feel strangely hollow after a while.
I dont't quite know how else to describe it and i am a bit suprised that so many people think it's the second
comming of crpgs when, aside from the (well done) flashy bits, there is nothing realy new or innovative to be found in BG3.
The reason is that our standards are so low in this age of ubisoft & co.
Everyone is just happy that they get a incredibly solid RPG with an story that is not written by a brain damaged frat boy.
The voice acting is incredible, the game runs smooth and stable, it has humour and drama.
Is it the next step in RPG evolution that will lead humanity into a new age of enlightenment and end all wars? No.
I'm more than happy with BG3 and will gladly take something like this every year or two for the rest of my existence.
Problem with Act 3 is the pacing. Everything seems super urgent, and must be done right away.
Gortash is a endgame boss, why should one of the first things do you when you get into Baldur's Gate be to go to him?
In Act 1, you had the grove to protect. Act 2 gave you The Last Inn to care for. No such thing in Act 3. Also why it feels off.
Personally Act 2 was my least favorite.
Also dislike itemization, only 1 of each magic item. So annoying.
Why is it called earth, when it is mostly water???
I'm pretty sure you can do things in act 3 in more than one order. but i agree that the game is dangling gortash in front of your nose in Act 3. But then again, maybe this is not that kind of game, where you just walk in a straight line where it seems to lead you.
I rushed into act 3 and pretty soon wanted to start from the begining of act 3 again, doing things differntly this time.
So, maybe thats a failing of the game, misleading you there.
Maybe its intended? I don't know.
Hardly any of the quests are timer restricted.
Save Counselor Florrick, Duke Ulder Ravengard and the Gondians before you blow up factory.
Your kidnapped companion is not on a timer.
So on my 2nd play through, I'm taking my time in Act 3 and it is so much better this way.
I don't like Wyll, so I skipped his story line on the first play. Quite upset all this lore/story was gated behind Wyll. This story was so mindblowing.
Why is it called earth, when it is mostly water???
But the itemization is indeed quite annoying, so much unique crap with unique status effects or renamed spells just because. But then again the game is easy enough that one doesn't need to pay too much attention to the equipment.
How does the itemization compare to games like Neverwinter Nights 1 or 2? Reference database, if needed.
