Just one of the many amazing bits in The Last Jedi, the best film in the new Star Wars trilogy!
Easily my favourite light sabre fight in the whole franchise.
So many moments of "I will wait my turn to attack" and "I will do random spins for no reason" that most multi enemy melee fights in film seem to suffer from though.

Rey kicks one dude and all 3 spin off at one point.

This is a very true post.

The entire First Order was handwaved into existence because JJ Abrams really wanted to direct some original trilogy films and couldn't.

youd think they'd write a solid trilogy before embarking on the journey of making them tbh. The prequels were clearly written in a weekend on the back of an envelope and it showed. Similar feels to this new one. Absolute mess of a series.

The whole thing is extra bizarre because the originals were never truthfully conceived of as a trilogy to start with. Lucas wrote the first movie which was an absolute disaster and full of fluff and nonsense until his wife and her co-editor fixed everything in post, and only after that heroic effort resulted in an industry-defining blockbuster did they decide to make more. Lucas is perhaps the single luckiest person in all of showbusiness, and people have been trying to recreate that lucky accident for four decades now, where the only honestly good results were the original Heir to the Empire book series, and probably KotOR and that one Tie fighter game.
This is worse than I thought, there's no butter in my coffee!

Can't argue with any of that.

Lucas is a hack fraud. The RLM prequel do overs were amazing at pointing this out. The cliff notes books on his desk were a sign!

i always remember having a "props of the prequels" book just as phantom menace was being released and being disgusted at noticing one of the communicator props was clearly a Gilette sensor excell razor with random greebles added onto it.

tbf that's a play straight out of 60's era sci-fi, in a weird way that actually adds some authenticity. The one that really stood out to me, like I noticed it the first time watching the movie in the theater, was the silver spray painted ball throwing game paddles hanging up in Anakin's room, which RLM also pointed out.

This is a long video of a nerd going over an alternative script for Episode IX

Everyone on the interweb is saying how much better it would have been than rise of skywalker

    What do you nerds think?

Personally I think it makes even less sense than what we got

It started strong then got weird, but he's also describing things like "fun dialog" and "characterization" which would have been really great to have in RoS so yeah, I'd take it over what we ended up getting.

Reddit reordered the movie titles in a more logical fashion.
Star Wars Episode I: the Rise of Skywalker

Two Jedi discover a slave boy powerful in the force who was the product of a virgin birth, being the FIRST in a FAMILY who will bring balance to the force.

Star Wars Episode IX: the Phantom Menace

A powerful enemy who was thought to be DEAD is brought back to THREATEN the galaxy once more.
    Episode I: A New Hope

    Episode II: Rise of Skywalker

Episode III: Attack of the Clones

    Episode IV: The Force Awakens

Episode V: Revenge of the Sith

    Episode VI: The Last Jedi

Episode VII: The Empire Strikes Back

Episode VIII: Return of the Jedi

    Episode IX: The Phantom Menace

They were separate posts, one being a reply to the other. Which do you prefer?

I guess honestly the full list makes sense.
