France has on-demand abortions up to 14 weeks, formerly 12. Beyond that if two physicians say giving birth will cause grave permanent injury to mental health, one can still have an abortion. In practice this is relatively easy to obtain and uncontroversial. There are no limits for abortion for foetal impairment or for serious threat to the health of the mother.

The Supreme Court curbed the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to broadly regulate carbon emissions from existing power plants, a major defeat for the Biden administration's attempts to slash emissions at a moment when scientists are sounding alarms about the accelerating pace of global warming.
In addition, the court cut back the agency's authority in general invoking the so-called "major questions" doctrine — a ruling that will impact the federal government's authority to regulate in other areas of climate policy, as well as regulation of the internet and worker safety.
The ruling was 6-3. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the opinion for the conservative majority, with the three liberal justices dissenting.
The decision is one of the most consequential cases for climate change and clean air in decades.

Looks to me like Dems desperate to avoid Trump 2.0 are doing the little they can (and be assured, it's very little in real world effectiveness IMO, Trump voters and most "average citizens" are mostly ignoring it completely), while The Far Right is winning case after case after case after case in the newly Talibanesque SCOTUS.
Regulating Guns, Trump won.
Praying Public Employees, Trump won.
Public Money for Private Religious Schools, Trump won.
Crushing the Regulatory State, Trump won.
Ending Roe v. Wade, Trump won.
It's no fucking surprise the right has all but deified Trump at this point. Hate him as much as we like, he's delivered almost everything he promised the far right because of those Justices now on the Court. With lifetime appointments, it's not gonna change any time soon.
