I mean, she’s correct in what she’s saying.
What was the split between individuals/state governments/'corporations'.

How many of said corporations would be considered 'vital to the national interest'?

Still not applicable to me and beside the point. Her inflection is totally off for a politician; it’s a little weird to be honest.

You’re not used to listening to twenty-something women speaking on the floor of Congress during a global catastrophe.

Part of that boils down to the fact that there are vanishingly few young women in politics, and even fewer with AOC’s reach and influence. Part of it boils down to the unprecedented circumstances.

But seriously, if you’re doing the “I just don’t like how she sounds, she sounds like a little girl/old nag/shrill woman/whatever” bit, you’re part of the problem.

She’s right on the money, and her tone is appropriate.

Note that Sacul’s excellent graphic leaves off the $4,000,000,000,000 in new short-term loans from the fed...

So take that entire graph, double it, and set it aside for banks and other financial institutions as a means of “maintaining liquidity.”

Note also that, in the graphic, the money tranched for small business is described as “loans,” while the money for corporations is described as “other,” because that money is going into a discretionary slush fund to be doled out by Trump and Mnuchin without oversight.

The Fed will finance a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for each acronym to conduct these operations. The Treasury, using the Exchange Stabilization Fund, will make an equity investment in each SPV and be in a “first loss” position. What does this mean? In essence, the Treasury, not the Fed, is buying all these securities and backstopping of loans; the Fed is acting as banker and providing financing. The Fed hired BlackRock Inc. to purchase these securities and handle the administration of the SPVs on behalf of the owner, the Treasury.

In other words, the federal government is nationalizing large swaths of the financial markets. The Fed is providing the money to do it. BlackRock will be doing the trades.

This scheme essentially merges the Fed and Treasury into one organization. So, meet your new Fed chairman, Donald J. Trump.

What you're displaying is unconscious bias. You see a woman showing justifiable anger and described her as having a tantrum. This does not happen to the same extent to men. See the Italian mayors videos for reference.

This does not mean that you are bad, merely a product of a society that expects women to only display correct emotions in public.

No really it’s not, I research unconscious bias in arbitral proceedings in my spare time - I am well aware of what it is. I just don’t like her inflection, it just doesn’t seem very rehearsed. I much prefer someone like Mhairi Black’s (another young, female politician) style; that’s about it really.

I didnt get all the fuss so i watched it again. She seems to be literally stomping the ground but who the shit cares. I like emotion in politics. Bernie is also a arm and body waver whom i also like. Better than that half dead R house speaker with 2 chins (forgot his name and no you dont have to remind me).

It's been down hill ever since we let those uppity women with fragile emotions vote!
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.
