Try to use some brain cells to produce a political thought beyond "red bad blue good" and you'll see what a massive problem this is.

The media, INCLUDING MSNBC, gave Trump vastly more airtime in the 2016 election than other candidates like Sanders or Yang in 2020. For a reason.

You're seriously deep in Narnia if you don't think the corporate media intentionally not covering candidates who would hurt the profit lines of their donors/owners is a problem.

edit: Also, unironically quoting Snopes, one of the biggest fronts for manufacturing consent in 2020. Amazing Burgerstan scenes. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/msnbc-producer-quit/

It's only partially true! She was just criticizing the entire corrupt media establishment, not our beloved MSNBC!! Debunked!!1

The democrats (and neoliberals in the west as a whole) being shit are why there is a christofascist/nationalist/whatever surge.

Their shit policies drive desperate, stupid people who are susceptible to propaganda striaght into their waiting arms.

You get two choices. One of them wants to basically murder every poor and brown person on the planet, and the other waffles a bit and doesn't do things like I want. Choose wisely

Hey, they may be fascist enablers, but they're not fascists themselves! Let's support them!

Again, you have a binary choice. There is no third option, that is in any way effective. There aren't enough of you to make trying to create a third party viable.

Who said anything about political parties. You just don't get it, do you? You reject media, you reject politicians, you stop listening to them period. Instead you start listening to like minded people, organize yourself from the street, local level and when there's enough of you, you force changes, wether the rotten elites like it or not. You do not participate in old society more than you absolutely have to, instead you reject it and build a new one parallel to the old one. This is the only way any sort of changes happen. Doing anything else is only deluding yourself, playing right into the establishment with their tribalism and idpol.

Cool, then all 5 of you can have a protest, and the world keeps turning. You seem to forget that popular liberation movements have all had massive state backing. WHo do you think supplied the ANC with enough training and equipment to orchestrate a bloodless coup in South Africa?

If you think you "organize yourself", it's you who laughably, don't get it.

FHC: What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists, and the States have become the very evil we've been fighting to destroy?
Erichknaar: I don't believe that, and you're sounding like a Republican.

In my experience, anyone who want to “destroy society” to rebuild it has basically fucked it up royally and it’s taken humanity decades (that we don’t have left) to recover from it, so nah. Humanity should be done giving people like that any time.

Snopes is the worst along with that Washington Post fact checker. They live for these mealy-mouthed nitpicks and "partially trues" to discredit opposing views and launder larger points that affirm their politics.

You can always count on weasel words like "partially true" and "not especially meaningful" because they know the essence of the statement is true or even banal, but they have to twist it in some way to make it appear that it's not.

If Pelosi was in my district I wouldn't vote for her. A lot of people do though. Same way a lot of Americans want to be fascist. I'd be more concerned with them than a bunch of old, ineffectual liberals, tbh.
