No one, that isn't an actual degree. Medieval history could be a master's degree. And lots of companies in the US don't care about what degree you got, as long as you have one to prove that you can apply yourself.

If you want a higher education participation award most gravitate towards business degrees ironically
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.

Oh you can get a degree in any number of things in a ,what are they called? "state universities", really any engineering degree in USA will give you a salary to pay off your student debt. No one is forcing you to go to MIT or Stanford or Caltek. And if you don't completely fuck up your life any law or business and economics degree will pay for itself. From what I heard medical schools in USA are insanely expensive so your family really has to come in with several hundred thousand $ reserve to last you until you actually start earning good money.

It takes several very bad decisions to get in you a position where you have a crippling student debt you can't pay off, but everyone keeps babbling about it like its one of greatest problems the USA currently has. I sadly must accuse that most people complaining about student debt are people who both failed to finish college while accumulating debt, and/or also chose a career that has very bad employment opportunities or simply bad salaries.

Yes because teachers chose the wrong career with bad salaries that require a masters in most cases, but hey at least they get the summers off...
Student debt is a way to profit off of widening the gap of upward mobility between those that already have wealth and don't need loans, and those that are striving/struggling to escape 'poverty' with student loans being the only way out.

It might not be the greatest problem the United States currently has (ie global warming) but it sure is yet another example of systemic opression.

Not everybody can get into Stanford. MIT, or Caltech, but you make some good points. If you work within the system, its better than what I had available to me when I grew up. Whether you learn CS or medicine from Stanford, UCSF, or other world renown medical schools, the process is more or less the same, as far as I can tell. I wouldn't say it's true you _must_ have a rich family to go to medical school. My actual doctor IRL was a Vietnamese boat person. Literally crossed the pacific on a small boat with his mom to get here. He doesn't come from money.

Student debt severely suppresses the disposable income available to consumers. It's a fucking stupid addition to any consumer economy.

To avoid quote pyramids. You said it yourself, its a symptom, not the cause. Same as broken healthcare costs. And you will be encouraged to work only on solving the symptoms, forever.

"Occupy Wall Street" failed miserably quickly and was mocked by everyone, including people considered "leftists".
"Tea Party" succeeded in taking over GOP, creating the Alt-Right and brining us President Donald Trump.

No, Teachers didn't choose the wrong profession, we don't value them correctly. Now if we could just get people to stop voting for the party leading this embarrassing state of affairs, but they won't, because racism. Until this country eradicates republicanism, it won't change.

Lol, what makes you think democrats would be radically different? This isn't a 4 year old problem.

It doesn’t have to be coding. Anything useful and beneficial to society would do, instead of just being wastes of sperm who think they know things.

Yeah it is well known that being useful and beneficial to society is handsomely rewarded under capitalism.

Stop learning things, wage-slave. Knowledge isn't meant for prole-scum factory-fodder.
