Lets argue about if a million makes you rich or not, while fucking *billionaires* want to duke out the leadership of the country amongst themselves.

Its not about whether Bernie is wealthy, thanks to a long career of public service and some very recent book sales. That is a red herring thrown out by the mainstream press in order to suppress class consciousness.

The people who are currently at the levers, and who want to keep their fiefdoms, laugh their asses off at the idea of working for wage income.

I don't think most people appreciate how much bigger a billion is from a million. Probably because there is only one letter difference.
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.

Also, as we’ve seen, most of the population is shit at math and rejects science.

It's pointless to get into an argument over the "socialist has money" attack

I read an article about last night's massacre. These seem on point:

Alistair is an okay poster. Biased? Yes. Annoying? Sometimes. Consistent, willing to listen and able to debate reasonably? Definitely.

      Spoiler:
That figure really scares me. The disparity between the median and the mean is just plain horrifying. Looking at data from Finland from 2016 (sorry about the excel graph, I just quickly put something together), there is much less wealth disparity.

If you read his posts throughout the years you could see how his viewpoint changes when well thought out arguments are presented. Instead of celebrating that you changed his mind on variety of subjects you call him names.

Wealth and income inequality is probably the most useful area of economics considering how neatly it dovetails into sociology and political science. It is very telling that it receives so little mainstream exposure.

Because Pikety wasn't an international best seller.

The Spirit Level is arguably better and slightly more accessible.

Wealth inequality isn't sexy enough to make shitty pop-economics books out of.

I found Pikety really good reading. I'll check that out, thanks.
