Yes different people posted the two articles. I was just trying to point out the absurdity of people immediately jumping at Biden for not supporting student loan forgiveness, and crying how Democrats are already working hard to lose.
If between GOPs open socal darwinism and Dems maybe not supporting every single left agents item you personally support, you still whine about Dems not being left enough and threaten to not vote or to again protest vote for a "disruptive" candidate... Problem is neither the Democrats nor the system, problem is you.

Erich's incessant "blue fascism" (i don't have another term for it) is becoming significantly more wide spread, even glancing at twitter shows a whole lot of people from the coasts gloating over millions without water or power in Texas. it's emblematic at that deep split in American society i am not sure y'all on the inside really see as clearly as "we" on the outside do. Erich's posts there are fucking abominable, comparing him to a Nazi is not only reasonable, it reads pretty much like the sort of shit that was in actual Nazi propaganda flyers at the time. but he's not alone in those viewpoints.
somebody having dumb politics in another part of the world doesn't justify them freezing to death or dying from dysentery because they can't boil their water.
Viking, n.:
1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.
Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.
This says a lot more about you than anyone else here.
So just because the democrats are less awful than some literal right wing lunatic they shouldn't be criticized? It's not a both sides thing, they are vastly less awful, it does not mean Biden is a saint doing everything right and people should abso-fucking-lutely criticize the ones in power when issues come up. We told you a million times since Biden won, people don't love him, he isn't a candidate people were excited about and he has a lot of issues. He just happens to be (a lot) better than literal nazis. And people who voted for him over literal nazis now would really like him to do a decent job at it and will and should criticize. It's how this whole thing is supposed to work.
You're basically advocating exactly for the kind of behavior Trump wants. Absolute obedience and saying absolutely nothing against great leader just because you like him more than the other.
There is no absurdity here, you're just way off. Trumpism has not disappeared with Biden showing up, it's alive an well, and by god the dems need to set fire to some shit for it to not resurface stronger than ever in a couple years.

As much as I hate Erich's generalizations and tirades of using violence against groups of people he lumps in as nazis, this time he's actually right. The guy that was quoted on twitter that he is referring to is specifically using social darwinism as an excuse to kill off people. He is an actual nazi. Not going to infract or ban people for saying the only good nazis are dead ones. Because, honestly that's the truth.
Lol. Telling people to heat their houses and get amenities somehow, even though it's partly your job == advocating for final solution for 30ish percent of population you disagree with. Have you considered participating in olympics? If you're capable of such leaps, it's golden medals for you every time you would start. Or just drop the pretense and just tell it's ok to advocate genocide on forums as long as it's people you don't like or consider subhuman yourself.

Imo Biden should be in Texas. Mobilizing the Army Corps of Engineers? Bringing some aircraft carriers down to help power the grid? Getting the western grid extended further into west Texas? Distributing bottled water and food and fuel to the victims.
Basically positioning himself to take the credit when the power and water comes back on and maybe actually helping some people in the mean time.
It's more that you can't just magically fix the issues with a couple of aircraft carriers, or a national guard deployment. the states powergrid is run by an entity that the federal government has no power over, and the state has no infrastructure in place that can be readily fixed. Even if the governemnt was moving as fast as possible (when is it ever) this shit isn't fixable anytime soon. Also Biden should stay the fuck away as there's only dumb PR involved in him arriving.
the people suffering there really need more help than temporary aid, they need a functional power regulator.
TIL you can just hook CV's up like portable batteries, and also that CV's can teleport to places hundreds of miles from the shore!
An aircraft carrier has been used to power a city before, so it can theoretically be done. That doesn't mean that it can be done usefully in this case. It might well be symbolic, like Trump sending US Navy hospital ships to pandemic cities that then didn't treat any patients (but he got a lot of credit for doing it.)
Houston, however, is one of the largest ports in the world and the city has suffered electricity blackouts for days so the opportunity is there if it can be done.
Regardless the point is to do something visible to help the people. If that's just getting food, water and fuel to freezing people with no fresh water then do that.
I think you might be vastly oversimplyfying how truly fucked up the situation is. It's not just a matter of supply and demand. The grid is so underdeveloped or just overwhelming broken atm, or powerlines have caught fire due to overloads. Without a meaningful state response itabhard to even know who needs help where. The president no matter who it may be in a time like this is utterly unable to do enough to fix the myriad of issues Texas faces. I do hope they send aid, but Texas isn't gonna be helped by cv's or water bottles. As far as power grids go its baffling and speaking to people that run northeastern grid operations, they knew this was possible and the state did fuck all about it.
Decided to delete this post because I don't want to add to the toxicity.
