expatshield, then iplayer
gogo
Success, only minor issues
Every part will be cold, wet, expensive, late, embarrassing
International security incident
Something else
Went and pirated it instead since pirates are better then the entertainment industry.
I'm now confused why a witch is playing the drums![]()
It's Evelyn Glennie
Yes i gathered that, why was she dressed like a witch though?
Very impressive so far, up until the segment about today's youth and social media anyway. They managed to make social media look even more retarded then it really us. Now im actually bored. Dizzee Rascal is cool though.
Also; why are all announcement first made in french, then in english?
WEAPONS OF MASS lolstralia
4x100m men's was glorious. Perfect swim from the french. Why the US put Lochte last is beyond me, he's weak on the 100 free.
French is also the language of international diplomacy (otherwise known as surrender)
Regarding the language question, the Olympics always does all announcements and stuff in up to three languages, English, French, and the home country's language. Usually (at least from what I've seen) the home country's is last, hence this year it's French then English.
Why French at all? That's above my pay grade.
Really loved that part, trying to find the full version shown on TV, but the closest thing I've found to it is the soundtrack (which I totally approve of):
haha they can't even fill all the seats so they are getting the military in to fill them to make it not look bad on the tv.

Just found this site via RTE News. http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/london2012/
Supposedly it's carrying a load of streams, where the independent European broadcasters have pooled their stuff together for one pan-European site. I'm going to see what it's like tomorrow.
I'm not too sure it works in Britain because ye have the BBC as official broadcaster.
Says EU (including Britain) only when I try access it.
http://coolsport.tv has been streaming the BBC stuff along with other sports.
Any others people are using?
This is the exact same problem that big events have faced recently. Big organisations such as FIFA and the IOC who "own" events such as these demand a certain percentage of seats are kept aside for their use basically to give away/sell to high profile individuals and sponsors. However these individuals don't want to see the morning swimming heats or dressage so the local organising commitee is blamed for a problem they have very little control over. It happened at Sydney, Athens and Beijing (although Beijing also had genuine issues getting ordinary Chinese to go see the Olympics).
